Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...

Firstly, quality wise these are well made, very practical, with many pockets, stretch panels & fit over both my short Daytona ankle or tall Sidi adventure boots.
They are good when its hot without a base layer, or with my Bowtex AAA leggings underneath if cooler (removing the armour is dead easy on these trousers as they come out externally on the knees).
Fit wise Klim stuff requires me to go a waist size down as they come up massive. I'm 5'10", 34" w, 30" leg & 80kg (-12st) & take a 32" w, 32" leg in these.
Colour wise these as significantly darker grey than portrayed in the web photos, more pale grey than the white/silver grey as web-shots suggest which suits my summer use case. The grey/black version I initially tried/returned look just like work 'Snickers' trousers which was not what I was after. These look like a decent pair of casual cargo jeans when off the bike walking about, rather than bike or work wear.
Overall I'm happy with these, my only gripe is the armour is only Level 1, for the price I think they should have level 2 as std, but I will upgrade it, or remove it & wear my Bowtex leggings undeneath.
Great for all day comfort on and off the bike. They will fit over my enduro boots, thigh pockets on the top of leg work really well when seated on the bike. Allow enough air through on hot days but not too vented to wear as temp drops a little. They’ve become my everyday go to on the bike.
Heavier than expected but very well made as you would expect from Klim. Had to buy a pair longer than I would have wanted due to stick levels and a trip coming up but with the button down ankle that are fine and better suited to a riding position
Really comfortable and fit just right. I’ve been using them for summer rides and they’re doing the job perfectly — lightweight and well-ventilated, so I don’t overheat. No complaints so far.
