I compared these to other boots up to £260, trying on 8 pairs and found these to be the most comfortable; they happened to be the cheapest option too. They have some flex in the articulation [for gear change action] yet are very rigid laterally where I was looking for protection if a bike were to trap my foot. They seem simple to put on and adjust with easy buckles. Other choices seemed to be trying to reinvent the structure and features - this is just not necessary.
