Pharao Lucania Waterproof Long Boots - Black

These boots appear to be good value for money. Also, they are about the only ones available with a thin enough toe section for me to be able to get the toe under the gear lever. I tried other boots and had to return them as it was IMPOSSIBLE to change gear on my bike. I would prefer a chunky zip closure as well as/instead of the velcro - I wonder how long that will last? After about 100 miles of use I can now get them on (struggle) and off (more struggle) unaided and they're beginning to bend a bit where they need to. I'm still missing gear changes occasionally though! They are true to size - my 40 year old Frank Thomas boots were size 43 and so are these. I tried the next size up (which were just as much of a struggle to get my foot around the bend in the boot) but they were sloppy around the heel once on.

Well fitting and comfortable, a lot of boot for not a lot of money, haven't tried in the wet as yet, but happy so far.

I don't know what's happened to bike boots lately. In previous years I've never had problems with boots fitting but almost every pair of high boots I tried on this time were so tight on the legs. I don't have fat legs but I couldn't get most of them to fasten. These Pharao boots just about fasten except for the middle strap. It is way too short to fasten at all so Ill have to find some way of extending it

The boots are a perfect fit, after many different pairs tried on, the boys have so much patience nothing was too much for them.

Boots appear to be comfortable apart from slight pressure on right shin. On inspection this appears to be due to some slight imperfection in the stitching forcing the plastic shin protection insert to turn inwards slightly at the top. Although the left boot appears to be perfect. Not worn on bike yet due to warmer weather , as I have been wearing my short boots. Only worn walking about the house so far.

Really pleased with these boots. Sizing was spot on, very comfortable, my jeans and textile waterproofs go either inside or out. Great buy!

Tidy pair of boots..no zips,but velcro instead.. because of this you can get them nice and snug..comfy enough on and seems good grip wise..overall happy with purchase..usual sbs service..thank you.

Super happy with those. Comfortable straight out of the box. No annoying zip which may break after a few months. You get one main velcro at the top and 2 smaller ones further down, great adjustment and fit. True to size for me, ordered my usual shoe size. Also ordered 2 other pairs from other brands which went straight back after trying on these. Fully waterproof also and very comfortable to walk in (using them daily at the moment for commuting). Overall great value for money, don't look any further at this price range!

So far have kept the torrential rain we've had at bay. The insole was a bit on the hard side but a decent set of gel inserts solved that issue. Soft material that didn't require much breaking in at all. On the whole pleasantly surprised at these sub £100 boots and feel better quality than the RST adventure x boots which lasted me 7 months before they started failing. Excellent service and next day delivery from SBS as always.

A good fit with velcro straps allowing for adjustment. Extra length stops over trousers riding up above boots and extra shin protection.
