My first Dainese garment, so was unsure what to expect. Initial impressions are very good. I have worn this a few times on short wet journeys and found the waterproofing to be exceptional, as expected. Water rolls straight off, rather than clinging to the jacket and soaking it, so this bodes well for longer wet rides. The only issue I have is that the collar of the liner when inside the collar of the jacket makes me feel bunched up when wearing a thick neck tube. Since removing the liner, I have noticed that my arms are more noticeably colder, so the liner is certainly effective. The jacket is comfortable with plenty of adjustment. I always ride with a neck tube, but i would expect the neoprene collar to be comfortable against a bare neck. Personally I would prefer a Velcro cuff fastener, rather than the press-stud, as it is easier to accommodate longer gloves and still keep the sleeves tight, but this is a minor point overall. I have fitted the back protector from my pervious Alpinestars jacket with no issue. At the moment, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this jacket.

Good protection though I've added a back protector now & will perhaps fit chest protectors

Made of Mugello stretch fabric, Mangen Absøluteshell™ Pro is the motorcycle jacket designed for adventure touring use for both road and dirt riding.
The presence of the Absøluteshell™ PRO membrane, bonded to the fabric, makes this garment dry more quickly. The combination of the membrane with the air vents on the chest, back and sleeves and the removable thermal lining makes this jacket extremely versatile in different weather conditions, ensuring maximum comfort, in both winter and temperate weather.
The protective level of this garment, certified according to EN 17092 Class AA and equipped with Pro-Armour protectors certified according to EN 1621.1 Level 2 on the elbows and shoulders, can be further increased not only through the pockets for housing the type G back protector and the Pro-Armor Chest 2 pcs chest protector, but also compatibility with wearing over the Smart Air airbag device, designed for correct fit with and without the airbag worn internally, taking advantage of the stretch construction and the bellows on the back. This feature relieves the rider of the need to purchase one size up, with the risk of having the sleeves too wide and elbow and shoulder protectors not in the correct position.
Reflective inserts for greater active safety with poor visibility complete the equipment.
This jacket has four waterproof front pockets, one back cargo pocket, one inside lining pocket and one in the detachable thermal jacket. The ability to adjust the collar, hips, sleeves and cuffs, combined with the ability to couple it with pants via the special zip system, makes Mangen Absøluteshell™ Pro a garment even more adaptable to the wearer's needs.
