The Optimate brand name made me confident to purchase as I own two Optimate battery chargers. It was smaller than I was expecting which was a good thing and seems very well designed and made. Although the Optimate technical spec will state that connected equipment will charge when the bike's ignition is turned off, this is not the case with my BMW R1250RT. This is probably due to the design 'features' of the BMW electrics. As a test I did a short ride with connected equipment and it was charging OK.

Fits perfectly into the DIN socket. Waterproof connections are good. The type c extension lead is very handy too.

Nice compact unit, and with the 90° socket angle it keeps it even lower profile.
Has both USB A and USB C.
Used on my 2025 Multi V4S, it was positively charging my S23 Ultra even though I was using it as a satnav and streaming music to my Cardo.
Comes with a handy ~20cm USB C extension which looks like it would be shower proof (rubber cover to the plug), the end of which has holes for zip tying it to somewhere suitable on your bike.
A great little accessory gadget.
