Verified Customer Reviews for Nolan ESS III LED N-Com
Fits the helmet (N120-1) perfectly and is very easy to do.
Instructions say for first charge do it for 10 hours, but it showed full after 2, left it the full duration anyway. Difficult to say what it’s like in use, as it’s behind your head but on the fixed rear light it’s very bright. (Helmet on in a dark room). Every little helps so they say.
I'm disappointed for the money
It feels like something that cost £4 to make, very flimsy looking plastic hooks to connect it to a backplate, don't look anywhere near sturdy enough, user interface is weird, press the light to activate, mine feels sticky and doesn't respond as the instructions suggest, the jury is still out but initial impression is very poor

Emergency Stop Signal
The ESS (Emergency Stop Signal) is N-Com's exclusive presence and braking signalling system. The LED light positioned on the back of the helmet provides increased visibility, both when braking and in low light situations.
Installation takes minutes, and thanks to the adapters supplied, the ESS III can be installed in most helmet models available on the market.
ESS III, Get Yourself Noticed
The ESS III was born of all the experience gained through previous LED solutions, and its sole aim is to improve motorcyclist visibility on the road.
LED Technology, Integrated Accelerometer, Versatility
Compact, intuitive, practical. Its position on the rear of the helmet reduces aerodynamic impact, leaving helmet design unchanged. The battery is included in the system, and installation does not require the removal of any of the helmet's components.
The ESS III offers three user modes: emergency brake light, rear light, and flashing light. Mode selection is made via the button positioned on the light.
In fog, at night, in city traffic, or on long journeys, the ESS III increases your visibility to other riders.
