Alpinestars XT-3 Drystar Insulated Gloves - Black / Dark Grey

I picked these up last minute on my way to a 7-day European tour on the GSA. I was gambling on the weather, and honestly, I’m glad I had them. We hit the jackpot of terrible conditions—heavy rain most days, plus snow and ice in the mountain

The Good:
To give credit where it’s due, these gloves are bombproof. Despite the relentless downpours, my hands stayed completely dry. More importantly, even when the temperatures dropped and we hit icy patches, my fingers never went numb, I did also have the heated grips on. They are warm, comfortable in the material sense, and look great on the bike.

The Bad:
Here is the deal-breaker: the sizing is way off. Trying to use the touchscreen was a joke, but the real issue was operating the bike’s controls, indicators or the menu on the bike. The some of fingers are about an inch too long for me, middle finger was fine and the thumb is similarly overdone. That extra material bunched up, making me lose the feel of the switchgear. I had to be hyper-aware when using the indicators or hazards because the "loose" fit robbed me of that fine-touch sensitivity you need on a bike.

The Verdict:
Do they do what they are meant to? Yes. They kept me dry and warm in apocalyptic weather. Would I recommend them? Probably not unless you have exceptionally long, slender fingers. If you are average-sized, the lack of tactility is a genuine safety concern when riding technical roads.

I can’t give them a bad review because they genuinely saved my trip from a comfort perspective, I should have taken more time and tried more gloves but I will definitely be shopping for a better-fitting pair now that I’m back in the UK.

These gloves look and feel awesome, wanted a slightly thinner glove that is still waterproof and these are great for that.
The reason I have given them 4 stars instead of 5 is as others have stated they have really long fingers. I have pretty large hands and take a 2XL in Alpinestars gloves, but for some reason these have fingers for a size or two larger in length. All my other Alpinestars gloves don't have this problem. See image of finger tips folding over. And no going down a size won't work as my hands are broad.

Really nice light gloves, comfy and surprisingly warm

Bought them as it was starting to be cold out. These do the job, only issue is finger fitting being just slightly too big despite palm being a good fit.
