RST S1 D3O Textile Jacket - Black / Black

I bought this jacket to provide both a replacement (for road riding) for my RST leather, and as an improvement on the idea of a summer paddock-jacket, and it has absolutely fitted the bill on both accounts. The advice was to go up a size on what you would normally order, so I did just that, and the jacket fits perfectly. It is the usual RST excellent quality, and the inner lining and pockets are perfect, with inside pockets on both the outer jacket, AND the removable inner jacket, which accomadate a large phone nicely. The armour appears sturdy on both shoulders and elbows, and although there is no added back-protector, I simply slipped in the protector from my old RST leather; job done ! Now I know we generally take the Sportsbikeshop fantastic service for granted these days, but yet again, they did not disappoint. The jacket arrived within 2 days of order, and packaged faultlessly, as always. Highly recommended experience all-round !

I bought the S1 D3O as it was an affordable but great quality jacket, whilst it does not have chest and back protection it does provide pockets for them, and I will likely be adding these before I start riding (I'm new to it all). The material is durable and good quality and the features are well thought out, the armour which is present is not restrictive or invasive in any way, and I think this jacket will likely be my go to for years to come.

Glad I ordered this jacket, it’s absolutely great. I ordered the right size and the inner part of the jacket can be taken out if you get too hot. Padding in the shoulders, elbows etc so you feel protection is there if needed.
Would definitely recommend buying one. It’s also got hi viz colours front and back of the jacket so that you can be seen by road users.

I purchased this particular jacket, as not only did it provide all the safety and quality features to be expected from RST, it also matches the colours of my Kawasaki Z1000 R Edition, for which I make no apologies, the motorcycle fashion police haven't caught me....yet. With the exception of the back protector, which I already had, the jacket has all the protection where it needs to be, is durable and well ventilated, making it an ideal summer jacket. It is a replacement to an old RST jacket I had a few years ago, and I'm wearing it much more than my Kawasaki Z leather jacket. I'm really pleased with the jacket, I especially like the detachable thermal liner, which helps take the edge of those fresh summer mornings. There isn't anything I dislike and I highly recommend it.
