The 2XL was a perfect fit for a 44 inch chest. It’s sufficiently loose around the torso and the arm length was perfect for me. I knew prior to purchase that the jacket doesn’t afford you the same protection as heavy duty kit. Having acquired heat exhaustion on a long ride to Scotland it was a compromise I was happy to make. It does what it says on the tin it allows you to stay cool relative to the temperature you’re riding in. The ghost armour in the elbows and shoulders was appreciated. The absence of back armour was disappointing although there is a pocket for it. I would have been happy to pay the extra for a perfect fit.
