Held Tropic 4 Textile Trousers - Black

Nice lightweight summer trousers. Only A rated for abrasion, but there really isn't much chouce of well vented AA abrasion resitant trousers. Knox do some, but only in black so they are not as cool as they could be. These are cool and very comfortable from the start. The knee pads hang low when standing for me - size small and I have a 30" inside leg - and there is no short leg option so they are too long. Worn in the boot the armour stays where it is needed though, and I folded and sewed up 1.5" of upper leg material to get them to fit properly, and they've been perfect in the recent heatwaves while on tour in the continent. I did swap out the flimsy
L1 knee pads with lightweight Adventure Spec L2 ones, and added their L2 hip armour. Great pads that are light, thin and comfortable. The 2 pockets are decently deep but have no fastening so I only trust using them off the bike. Overall fit is good, not too tight or loose and can go over adventure boots, or inside to keep the armour where it is needed. They'll do nicely as lightweight hottest weather trousers for me. I'd only replace them if some level 2 abrasion resistance trousers in a light colour with a similarly good fit become available.

Very pleased for the price, they are well made and are very comfortable.

Just what I was needing. A lightweight and breathable pair of textiles. I always struggle getting too hot in textiles but these are perfect. Only minor complaint is they could have been slightly tighter fitting but it does leave room for those that want to add inner layers.
