Starlane Stealth 5
- Built-in triple-constellation NAVSTAR+GLONASS+GALILEO receiver and antenna simultaneously uses satellites from the American NAVSTAR, the Russian GLONASS, and the European GALILEO systems
- Management of finish line and split times makes it possible to set the coordinates of 4 gates (main finish line + 3 optional gates), allowing you to quickly assess performance
- Ideal lap time indication calculates the ideal lap time achievable in each session by summing the best sector times
- Dual-function "best lap" LED lights up when improving compared to the previous lap and flashes when the lap just completed is the best of the session - if split gates have been set, the LED also activates at each split
- GPS speed detection - The advantage of using the GPS+GLONASS system also translates into highly accurate vehicle speed detection without the need to install sensors on the bike
- Compatibility with MAAT software allows for trajectory analysis functions, and enables storage, analysis, and printing of acquired data, along with graphical representation of trajectories including acceleration and braking points
- Memory for 999 laps with automatic management of 99 test sessions - Stealth 5 automatically creates a new session each time you enter the track, allowing you to analyse lap times across multiple sessions
- Cyclic memory management ensures easy, continuous use by automatically deleting the oldest sessions when memory is nearly full
- Storage of finish line coordinates for up to 16 frequently used tracks, making it quick to recall the current track's finish line without having to reset it each time
- Backlit graphic display is transflective, ensuring maximum visibility even under direct sunlight with the backlight off
- External power supply - Powered by the vehicle's 12V battery or an optional external battery
- Includes user-configurable power-saving and auto power-off functions to maximise battery performance
- Supplied with an extension cable with eyelets for battery connection, and a connector on the device side for quick disconnection
- Stealth 5 is water-resistant and can be used in rainy conditions
Compact with High Readability
Stealth 5 is an extremely compact GPS lap timer but equipped with a display with large characters to ensure maximum readability during demanding riding. Its small size makes it easy to install on the bike.
Trajectory Acquisition
On Stealth 5, graphic data and trajectory acquisition features are active by default and it can be expanded with optional WID wireless modules for vehicle data acquisition.
Integrated Library with over 1000 Tracks
Allows immediate use thanks to the integrated library with more than 1000 tracks, complete with split points, among which the device automatically recognises the current one. In the unlikely event that your track is not included in the library, the SAFD-2 function (Starlane Automatic Finish Line Detector) will automatically divide the track after the first 2 laps, allowing you to view your lap time and split times from the very first session without any intervention on the lap timer.
Data Download via Bluetooth® & Wi-Fi
Stealth 5 allows data download via both Bluetooth® and Wi-Fi for data analysis on Windows, Mac, Android and iOS.
High Performance GPS Tuning
On Stealth 5, a level of GPS reception tuning and performance has been achieved like never before. This results in extremely short GPS signal acquisition times and a very high signal-to-noise ratio, leading to increased accuracy in position calculation and, consequently, in lap time measurement.
Contrary to the widespread misconception that GPS frequency ensures higher accuracy, the key factor is actually positional accuracy, which allows an efficient algorithm to calculate lap times precisely.
If a system does not have excellent positional detection, increasing the GPS frequency even to 50Hz will only result in 50 samples per second acquired with positional error and therefore incorrect lap times, without improvement in timing accuracy.
The algorithm developed by Starlane since 2005, when it was the first in the world to launch lap timers with integrated GPS, was already capable of achieving hundredth-of-a-second accuracy even with the low frequencies available at the time, which were 1 or 5Hz.
Lean Angle Indication
It is possible to view the lean angle on the dedicated screen, which displays the current angle and the maximum degrees reached in the last right and left turn.
Data Analysis
The data acquired by Stealth 5 can be easily analysed with the intuitive MAAT software. The MAAT data analysis software can be downloaded for free of charge from the Starlane website, and Android and Apple app stores.
Exclusive SBPS Anti-Vibration Technology
Based on the experience gained over the 25 years since the development of the first Stealth generation, the design of the Stealth 5 has been refined down to the smallest detail, such as the gasket, which not only provides water sealing but also acts as the elastic part of the SBPS (Starlane Board Pillow System), a true silicone anti-vibration cushion integrated into the housing, exclusive to Starlane and Stealth 5.
This solution, unique in the world, creates an additional barrier against vibrations for the internal electronics, which remain completely suspended and are not fastened with screws to the robust glass-filled nylon outer shell.
In addition to the supplied kit for elastic mounting of the device on the vehicle, this results in strong damping of vibrational stresses that could otherwise severely damage any electronic device.
The SBPS is an exclusive Starlane system, the result of experience gained in addressing the most diverse issues arising from the extreme use of products, where installation plays a crucial role in long-term durability and reliability.
Discover the Convenience of Wireless Modules
Stealth 5 supports the technology of optional WID (Wireless Input Device) sensors and wireless modules. The WID modules allow the system to be expanded simply by placing the WID module under the seat, with no need for wiring to bring the signal to the front of the bike, since communication is carried out entirely wirelessly.
In this way, you obtain a professional, complete, and unique data acquisition system, which is fully expandable wirelessly.
This technology, developed by Starlane and thoroughly tested over the past 10 years, has already enabled Corsaro devices to win more than 20 titles in just a few years, across world, European, and national championships.
Dedicated WID modules are available for the latest generation motorcycles, enabling plug & play connection to the bike's CAN BUS line for the acquisition of the main channels directly from the ECU.
