Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
This is a lovely jacket, shame it was discontinued. The thermal liner makes a huge difference, understated and clean look overall.
Outstanding quality and suitability for wearing on the Bike comes with liner so comfortable to wear. I am normally size 44 inch UK chest and needed the 46. Brilliant jacket well worth the money
Super quality, super stylish, lovely jacket. Fits as it should.
As expected from Dianese, jacket is made to high standards. The leather feels thick but flexible. Zippers around the cuffs are locking to stop from unzipping. Thermal liner is a good thing to have, I have been riding this jacket in early spring with temperatures of 3 Celsius in the morning and 15 in the afternoon. I did not feel cold. Not sure how it will fair up on a hot summer day since the jacket has not got any perforations apart from 2 zipped vents around waist area.
I usually wear size L the jacket that suited me was size 46. I would recommend to visit a shop in person and try a few jackets on because some necks are very spacious, some have too much room around the chest but not enough on the arms therefore leather jackets are a piece of clothing that you need to try in the shop.
First off, SBS, managed to price match this jacket and I got it for a great price. Thanks guys.
The jacket itself is excellent. The materials used, the cut and style of it justify the price.
The internal thermal liner is great and used it today where the air temp wasn't particularly warm.
The internal back pocket accepts the armour which I swap out from my other Dainese jackets.
I'm 6ft 2 broad shouldered with a 44 inch chest and I get into a EU 58 /UK 48. That's with back armour in too. Got long arms and the cuff is just right on me.
You won't be disappointed.
If I could give more than 5 stars I would. The jacket fits amazing on me, excellent quality and very nice style. I haven't tried it yet during the winter to see if it keeps you warm but with the extra layer that is coming with it, I don't think winter would be an issue! Worth every penny from the price
Nice jacket but very small and I ended up returning it
Absolutely love the fighter jacket, it's exactly what I needed... it came before hand which was amazing but ...it was the wrong size but that was my fault ... nevertheless I called Sportsbikeshop and their customer service was great, professional, simple and no hassle they changed the size and sent it right away... thank you
I had bought a Dainese Street Darker jacket previously and liked the fit so though I would upgrade my Futygan gear for Dainese.
Style wise, a no brainer.... the Fighter jacket's understated look really appealed. The jacket arrived the following day and was a perfect fit, although the cuffs are a little looser than I expected them to be compared to the Street Darker. This hasn't been an issue when on the bike, they don't ride up my arms at all and I wear gloves over the cuff so no unwanted airflow. Speaking of which, there are two massive zippered vents on the side of the jacket for warm days. For cold days the liner seems adequate but nowhere near as toasty as the liner on my Furygan Titan.
The leather on the jacket (as i expected) is heavier than the Street Darker but feels super high quality and is surprisingly supple. The low back on the jacket provides a good overlap with the Alien trousers that I have. Waist adjustment is the usual hook and loop and is comfortable thanks to it being over a stretch fabric panel so the slight rucking caused is barely noticable. The neck is comfortable and high at the rear.
Are there any bad points to this jacket? Well, being super critical I would have preferred some cuff adjustment, a zipper lock and a back protector. Oh, it smells a bit too. No really, whatever that D-Skin treatment is, it smells more than any other leather jacket/trousers I have bought in the past.
With regards to SBS service... what can I say? They provide probably the best online service in the UK. (Now give me that £100 prize!!!)
Dainese finally release a jacket with technical features and top of the range protection which does not look like you're just out of the race track.
An all black look that is stunning.
Beautifully designed, nice fit, great leather quality. The thermal lining does the trick perfectly.
works perfectly with the Manis D1 G Back Protector Insert and Double Chest Protector.
Highly recommend this product.
The usual Dainese quality and outstanding service and support from SportsBikeShop
Fantastic jacket, good quality, fits well and feels substantial.
Armour in all the right places.
I am 56, 5'10" in height, weigh 11st 7lbs, measure 39" chest, 36" across my belly, 34-35 waist, 32" inside leg and the thickest part of my thighs is around 21-22". I normally wear 32/32 jeans and work trousers which do not require a belt. Basically a relatively healthy weight with a slight middle age spread belly. These measurement were taken after the Christmas break and I am carrying 4-5 pounds on my usual weight and an inch across the waist - which will be gone (hopefully) by May. The options included Weise Hydra, Dainese and some of the more budget leathers like RST. Had a look at the Alpine Stars and was disappointed (but not surprised) by their products. The Weise was ok, good quality very hard wearing and well-made but the fit in my closest size was too loose. The folks at MK immediately cottoned on to what I was after and presented me with a Dainese Fighter jacket. I had not noticed this during the extensive and time consuming trawl through the websites. I was immediately impressed by the quality and found the 40 UK size was a perfect fit, the cut was just right, it had an internal and two external pockets and a detatchable thermal liner. The leather quality was better than the other manufacturers . This is not a jacket that has been widely hyped but for me was the best compromise ticking most of the boxes.
I'm 6ft 1" and a 39" chest so I thought the 50 would be perfect as it comes with a liner. The jacket itself is fantastic from the armor to the materials and the service from Sportsbikeshop was brilliant.
I have trouble finding a leather because when I wear a 50 in alpinestars/Dainese it feels right till I sit on my bike, at which point the shoulder and collar areas rise up and feel too large. Maybe I should buy a uk 38" - but NO ONE ever stocks them for me to try!
I feel when wearing this Dainese Figther jacket that my Honda CBR500R is too small of a machine. Safety comes first, this jacket supports this statement very much and I feel that £500 is worth paying. I know its expensive, but so as your bike and your own skin. I'm chest size 42 inches and decided to go 44 inches. Here is why, just to be on the safe side, when I added Dainese back protection to the jacket size 44 is perfect. If you're not going to add protection buy your size. Two day shipment is great. 5* service from Sportsbikeshop. Thank you!
Sporting an aggressive look the Fighter leather jacket is constructed from D-Skin 2.0 leather and has a sporty style cut. Microelastic inserts ensure a trim fit and a removable thermal liner and air vents at the back allow adaption to changing temperatures.

This is a non-perforated jacket.
If you select size 40 on our website it will be a UK 40, and so the label inside the jacket will show 50, being the Euro size.
The jacket does have a connecting zip for connecting to all Dainese jeans
