Held Akira Evo Glove - Black

This is my fifth pair of Held gloves and they are every bit as good as the last four.
When they wear out I'll buy another pair.
They are comfy, well made, well thought out, and I'm very happy. They are a good weight for me for touring, warm enough for all but the coldest weather without being overly bulky like my waterproof gloves (not Held).
The cuffs are very bulky. They won't fit inside the sleeves of my Held jacket (that is made to go over the glove).
Please note, my old gloves are size 10 and fit like... what's a good simile for fitting well?
Anyway...
The Akiras in size 10 are a little baggy, I also got Held Thrux in size 10 and they're a bit tight.
Never mind, I still like them.

Why don't any other companies put visor wipers on their gloves? If you live in Scotland it's a game changer.

When the package arrived it only had one glove. I emailed SportsBikeShop and they found the missing one and sent it out two days later.

Early days but so far very impressed. Accurate sizing based on the fitment chart. Quality construction with a reassuring level of protection, these gloves are robust yet give a lot more feel than winter gloves. I would describe these as a three season glove as they're constructed with a kevlar padding on the back of the hand and not being perforated leather are not really suited to very warm weather. Overall impression, excellent gloves!

Now on my second pair, somehow the first pair had different size thumbs? How that got past QA for gloves at this price point is a worry.

That said, they are very comfortable and feel robust. Hardly any breaking in time needed and no annoying rubbing anywhere. The velcro fastening feels more secure that my old gloves ever did. Will see how they hold up to me forgetting my puck and using one as a make shift side stand support this evening.....

I have always had problems getting gloves that fit as I have long fingers.
The last pair were Alpinestars, great gloves but the finger length was not long enough and were agony on a long journey.
These are my first Held gloves and I went for long finger length in a double xxl. Fit great
I didnt know before that Held do different fits, its a great help when you have perfect shovels like mine

Fantastic quality gloves, quick break-in, great feel.
I have a few sets of held gloves for different seasons and will never buy any other brand.

I like Held gloves and as I have long fingers the fit is usually good. In this case not so good. Fingers are tight width wise and the thumbs are way too long and form a redundant flap. I also had to go one size up from my normal Held size. Try before you buy.

Great product at fantastic price, as I live fairly close I went in try different sizes and as usual the staff were more than happy to help and made sure I was completely satisfied with my purchase.

Held is synonymous with quality gloves, and for me to find a pair at a bargain price but with all the merits of waterproofing, simplicity and functionality (oh, they have a thermal lining too!), I couldn't ask for more! Highly recommend. 8/10

After the reduction in dexterity from wearing thick winter gloves, the Held Akira Evo feels like a second skin! Comfortable, strong, and with great abrasion resistance, this reasonably priced summer glove is definitely going to be my glove of choice as far into Autumn as I can bare!

Great style and the right level of protection. Very supple and comfortable straight away, no need to break these in.

The fit is perfect, they will offer great protection.

These were out of my price range from other outlets, but with 45% discount it would be rude to not get them. Thoroughly recommended the gloves & sports bike shop.

Bought his to replace an earlier version of the same summer full length glove that have provided good service for years. I'm not disappointed.

The Held gloves quality is well known and this shows in the fit, feel and protection level. Like all good gloves these will take a while to wear in and get super comfortable.
The upper glove at the wrist is longer than some but does give the ultimate protection if/when required. The visor wipe blade on the left index finger is fine but more suited to a wet weather glove, and indispensable in the rain (why don't all gloves have this?).

If required Held do a repair factory service too, few offer this in the glove world. I can only say this is a good update on an already great glove that will give years of service, and you can't say that about any gloves you buy. Top product.

Worn for a good few hours now and breaking in nicely. Feel very well stitched together. Protective panels / padding don't make the gloves too rigid and the finger construction allows for good flexibility where it's needed. Took several attempts before settling on a 9.5 (L/XL) as measuring my palm put me in an 8.5 (M/L) and my glove size in other brands is a 10/11 (XL) but this was very wide fit in Held.

I always struggle to find gloves with fingers long enough to be comfortable when gripping the bars. No such worries here. The 2XL size provides a perfect finger length although the thumb is 10mm too long for me. Better than too short! Oddly, a different Held long glove fits perfectly on all my digits. The gloves are well made although stiff initially. They're beginning to break in after a weekend of track use.
