You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...
Got this during the sale, what a fantastic helmet. Ticked all the boxes of what I was looking for. Lightweight, looks, safety, glasses compatible, looks and a from a major brand. I got the XL for my 59cm head and fits well. It suits my Vespa so well! Sportsbike comes up trumps again! Recommended.
Great looking old school lid, although it's a lot smaller than my AGV full face so maybe go a size up.
Its a great helmet, my first open face. I tried a Bell first in M my usual size and it dug in to my forehead and was squeezing behind my jaw. I then tried a large but was too big which was a shame as I like the Bell. Ordered the AGV in ML as guided by their web site for my head size and is spot on, much more comfortable than the Bell for my head shape. It looks great, the interior and padding
are to a high standard and is not too mushroom head looking. I would highly recommend one if you want a really good quality open face lid. May get a white one as well!
Good quality helmet. Good fit. However, check the manufacturing date in the helmet. Could be your buying older stock & they need to clear it.
Great open face helmet fantastic fit. AGV helmets are one of my favorite. . Such an easy company to shop with (sportsbikeshop.)
Not only is the helmet a perfect fit as regards the same dimensions as my AGV full face helmets, but the quality is superb. The Helmet also comes with a great leather carrying case, that in itself is a work of art. 10/10 from AGV and next day delivery as well from Sportsbikeshop.
Great fit and exactly what I wanted. Delivery was safe and super padded.
The service was excellent end to end.
Well made, comfy fit, cool looking helmet
Plus points - lightweight, a good fit, a good price (I suppose I should have said that first). I like the strap retention, no flapping about. Good build quality.
Minus points - Attention to detail - the AGV badge on the helmet is decidedly awry. It's made in China. And.... Is it too much to expect a peak as standard?
Good fitting open-face helmet with a classic low profile - not too bulky. The 'D' ring strap takes a little getting used to but feels extremely secure. Reasonably quiet in use as the ears are well protected.
Really impressed with this lid. Very well made, low wind noise, light and comfortable. The helmet is also very compact so you don't look like a lollypop. Looks great. Sizing good and is the same as other AGV helmets so MS is MS. No need to buy smaller as is sometimes normal with open face helmets.
AGV invented the fibre open-face helmet back in 1954. Over time it has evolved and been superseded by a full-faced helmet, though only in the racing world. But it never went out of fashion. The X70 re-embodies the eternal allure of the original's shape, with modern protection and comfort features.
