If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Customers find these trousers warm, comfortable, and excellent value for money. Many appreciate the ease of wearing them over office attire, and their effectiveness in light rain. Common downsides mentioned include the Velcro fastener's weakness, lack of airvents, and baggy leg fit. Customers often use braces to avoid slipping and find the trousers effective in moderate conditions. Knee pads are sometimes considered thin and a tight fit. Overall, the trousers are recommended for their comfort and warmth.
Trousers very comfortable. I would say that they are true to size. I used them straight away for a 220 mile round trip. They will be warm in winter but I suspect too warm in the current weather and may need to take the lining out if I don’t use my other riding jeans. I have a couple of Oxford jackets and these are a great addition to my gear.
Great quality & price recommend these trousers
the sale price helped with the purchase,
Great trousers, comfy all day long, true to size, had to purchase some braces as they tend to drop down at the back but so far windproof, rainproof ( 4 hours in solid rain and still dry) Recommend if your on a budget, these just get the job done.Ah yes, they are flappy around the boots but this makes them easier to get on/off, hope this helps.
Quality trousers for a great price
These are excellent trousers for all round use. I use them for commuting and can wear office trousers under them. I like the fact that they are easy to put on and take off fitting over myboots. I use braces to ensure they don't slip down. I date the knee protectors and put him armour in. I am confident the trousers will offer good protection should the worse happen.
Good trousers, warm and comfortable on and off the bike. Great for commuting.
However the belt is held with Velcro, that does not stick properly, much better to use a button in my opinion.
The trousers are wide at the bottom making them look baggy.
I brought the rigger braces which solves the problem of them slipping down after a while wearing them...
I bought these as over trousers to commute for work (about 1 hour). I think they're excellent value for money, and held up well in moderate rain. Once at work I found them very easy to take off with my work trousers underneath, and fold up small enough to fit in a rucksack. Ideal!
Very good textile Jeans, they are very comfortable
Good fit so far, not yet used in anger, good fit and quality
I really liked my previous Oxford trousers but unfortunately the popper popped off after a couple of years. This pair are like flares with very wide bottoms that flap about over my boots. Also, the knee pads feel quite thin and are placed on the inside of the knees rather than on top or if anything a little to the outside. I purchased a large to fit over my work trousers but they are very large on me and very long (I'm 5' 8" with a 34" waist). Unfortunately I realised this all too late and am now stuck with them.
Absolutely spot on. I wear these for traveling to the office and they do just what I want. They are warm, comfortable and waterproof in the rain that I've encountered so far...though they've not had the torrential downpour test yet.
The zip was a bit sticky at first but it has broken in after a week or two.
I bought the right/usual size for me - they fit comfortably over my work trousers and zip fasten to my jacket. The velcro fastener at the front doesn't want to stay fastened ever so maybe a belt loop/braces would be handy.
Other than that it's like doing your ride in a sleeping bag - not even touched by the October commute so far!
Bought these trousers for my wife as we were going on bike trip to South Wales and weather not looking great.
As we thought absolutely threw it down with rain and my wife was more that happy with these trousers. She was bone dry and warm and they really were waterproof, no leakes they kept her 100% dry in the heavy rain we rode through. I would highly recommend these trousers and the very reasonable price.
And again great service from sportsbikeshop reading so helpful and knowledgeable about their products.
Thanks Sportsbikeshop another great purchase.
Accurate size in waste and length.
Cheap too. Bit big at bottom as for calf. Bit like a pair of boot cut Levis.
Here to keep dry not a fashion show.
No hip armour but knee armour.
Would have paid a bit more to have it as standard! Feel well built and decent materials
Good pair of trousers, looks good and keeps me warm even on colder days. Haven't tested it in heavier rain yet but kept me dry in lighter showers so far. Only downside is that it doesn't have any airvents, so you get sweaty after a while.
These are my 1st pair of motorbike trousers, so can't compare them to any others, would say they aren't perfect but do keep me warm and dry, haven't rode in heavy rain yet, They are true-ish to size, I'm a large and they fit OK if a little baggy on the legs but only ride to work at the moment, a 15 minute ride.
Great fit, warm and good protection at an excellent price. Would recommend. I haven't tried in the rain yet but sure they will perform well.
Great at keeping you warm. I travel 40 mins twice a day for work and these have kept me warm all winter, legs are warmer when I get to work than they were when I left the house, even at 2 degrees. Only negative is they aren't the most fashionable pair of winter trousers.
Waterproof and comfortable riding pants with front hand warmer pockets.
