If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Breathing good and lightweight!
Excellent breathability for summer riding but probably too cold for colder days though. Not tried in the rain but suspect will let water in so for warm dry summer days then perfect.
Hard to comment on safety level but oh the unbridled joy of finally riding with airflow and a sense of not being a moment away from degloving myself.
In hot weather I used to risk it an ride in shorts. It's great to finally have a pair of trousers that don't tempt to do stupid things.
The Rev'it 3 vented summer trousers are really well made and designed with one exception.
I ordered large/long as i am 6' 4" tall with long legs. The inside leg length is 35" fits well with a long lower zip making boot fitment easy.
Two zipped pickets offer good security and the mesh panels work well when moving.
As with other similar trousers i have tried, the knee armour pocket is a touch high and could have more adjustment. This is achieved using velcro which is fine but can get scratchy against the skin, the one negative.
All in all a great pair of summer trousers.
Good quality the xl was a perfect 36 with enough room to wear shorts underneath .
Well made with sufficient protection. Worn with long johns underneath and waterproof trousers on top can be worn all year, not just summer.
Great fit, I had to go up a couple of sizes which was perfect as I can wear jeans or shorts underneath with comfort.
Really nice adjusting straps on the hips for the perfect fit.
I bought a pair of these ahead of trip to Europe because my husband had a pair on during our last trip and they were brilliant
I have bought these for when the temp gets into the mid-twenties or above (most likely will have to wait for Spain for that), so have not worn them out yet. Quality looks good though and the fit for me is similar to my Alpinestars suit.
Bought these for 20 plus degree riding and compliments the Revit Eclipse jacket. Visited the Leeds store after reserving two sizes prior to travelling. Great service from the staff under social distancing measures. Tge trousers fit really well and have knee and hip armour as standard. Revit has a really nit cut and fit so it's not flappy at speed but not right to wear. A fine balance they manage to achieve!
Very well ventilated trousers. They feel good quality and fit well. The light colour looks great and should be cooler in the sun. Feels heavier than the Eclipse jacket I bought but they don't sell trousers to match the Eclipse jacket.
I had to return the last pair as they were too big and too long (ordered the same size as my oxfords) but still haven't received the replacement.
They are good value summer touring trousers with knee and hip protection The fit isn't too tight which makes them comfortable and allows you to wear jeans or shorts with them. They feel reasonable light and the mesh keeps you cool in the heat and they look fairly decent and well made. There are two zipped pockets which are useful if abit small. They would give little protection from the rain or cold but great for the summer. I would recommend them.
Matched with the Rev'it GT-R Air 2 jacket. Both look great. excellent airflow through these trousers and knee armour in correct place. 5'8" 31 inseam, went for large, short leg.- perfect fit. Good adjustable waist the ankles and the button is really secure.
Great idea , but application needs more thought as to the fit. Tried xl was to tight but long even though they were a short, I have 29 inside leg. So ordered the 2xl and it's like a 3 xl , I am athletic build but there baggy so pads will have no use what's so ever in crash, only good thing is there cool on a hot day
I already own the Revit Airwave 2 jacket, the trousers are purchased to complete my summer wardrobe. I went with size large for a 34"waist 30" leg. The sizing was perfect. I did think that in usual euro style they may come up a little small, but thankfully not. I look forward to making use of them in the warmer weather.
The Rev'it Airwave 3 trousers with the aptly named jacket for maximum coolness on warm days. Airflow to the body is provided by PWR/shell mesh panels at the front and back of the garment. They are equipped with the comfortable and lightweight CE-level 1 Seesmart armour at the knees and hips to keep riders safe and protected in case of a mishap. The adjustment straps at the hips can be used to get the perfect fit for your body. The Airwave 3 trousers are designed to be worn on top of jeans or shorts if needed.
