If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Armour is a great size to fully protect the knees and shins.
Socks are good to hold the armour in place.
HOWEVER, there is an adjustment buckle on the outside of the thigh on the top strap. It's jolly uncomfortable. Shame. Please bin the buckle!
So it's a NO for me.
Awesome fit, so much better than sewn in protectors that never stay in position on the knees, I'm 6ft, 32 inside leg and 15 stone, medium fits me perfectly.
These ones I bought for my wife, I have had a pair for a few years and I like them, very comfortable and long which goes a few CM into my enduro boots giving full lower leg cover, worn with Revit dirt series pants which are loose fit
These Scram knee guards are a great alternative to full knee braces and I'm finding them really comfortable, light weight and provide great coverage of knee and shin.
They fit nicely in a pair of Leatt 4.5 Boots. I tried with my Forma Boulder trials boots and the upper fastening is at its limit though so best suited to actual enduro/ MX boots.
I was trying them about the house before committing to them and I noticed a strange pinch point on the left. It was a niggle that made me consider returning them.
Outcome was I found the information card tucked away behind the mesh pocket. Anyways; problem solved and now both are comfortable.
A point on sizing:
According to the Rev it size chart I should have selected small.
I have Medium in Rev it territory trousers and an older pair I can't remember what they are called. They both fit great.
I am 5'8"
32/33" waist
31" inside leg
The measurements and sizing are done on height and inseam if I remember correctly.
I went for medium and the sizing in terms of shin and knee coverage with calf adjustability is perfect. I think the small would have been too tight on the straps.
Fit is great, all day comfortable, they make perfect sense on enduro style trousers which are roomy but built in knee armour moves around. I have not tried with low boots but they fit very well with taller adventure style boots which gives protection to entire lower leg as the knee pads are quite long to fit in the top of the boot
I'm pleasantly surprised, to be honest, quite how comfortable these are to wear. They even feel good tucked into the top of my Tech 7 boots.
I needed new knee protectors but didn't want to spend too much so I opted for the rev'it scram.
I'm finding these very comfortable to wear all day while out on the bike and the adjustable straps are a big help. The armour also covers about 3/4 of my shin and it's all easily removed for washing.
Comes with a handy bag to keep then together
The Scram features long CE level 2 knee protectors that extend down to cover the upper part of the shin. This leaves no part of the lower leg unprotected when wearing taller riding boots.
