Got a thirst for knowledge that extends to the markings on your bike's tyres? Allow us to quench that for you...
This is the third bike I've kitted out with Road Pilots. Great in both wet and dry conditions unlike the Pirellis they are replacing. Wear is good being dual compound and suits me perfectly for touring solo and two up.
As any biker you ask will tell you, the Pilot road 4s are an amazing tyre. They're super grippy from the get go (but you should also wear them in).
I've just completed a 700 mile tour on them, with a mixture of long strights and speedy twisties, fully loaded, in all weathers. Through all that, they feel consistent and barely worn.
Cant go wrong with the pilot 4
fantastic all weather tyre, plus a fast and speedy delivery
Very happy with these, excellent grip when wet
Ran the Road 2's years ago and got a set of these for the VFR. Went for the 4's and with the spare change for a Givi Tanklock bag as well.
These, like the old ones heat up pretty quick, give excellent feedback from the road, and wet weather grip is spot on. Excellent tyre
Michelin have yet another sports touring radial tyre brakethrough with the Pilot Road 4 tyre. You can ride with more confidence whatever the conditions, rain or shine with the Michelin Pilot Road 4. This latest model of the Pilot Road tyre still uses the 2CT technology that was used in the Pilot Road 3, but now also uses Michelin's revolutionary XST+ technology which allows a more even wear and life-long performance. These new standards and benchmarks make this tyre perfect for the high mileage that tourers expect from their tyres but with improved safety from the moment the tyre is fitted to the moment they are replaced.
