Verified Customer Reviews for RST Pro Series Paragon 6 CE Textile Jacket
I bought this jacket after riding in the rain for a short time wearing another brand and being soaked through.
I'm happy to say that the RST is waterproof. The well placed vents also keep me cool with good air flow.
The armour for me is placed exactly where I need it. The front outside pockets are big enough for an iPhone 14 pro in a quad lock case. Anything larger and you may struggle.
The supplied thermal liner really does boost the warmth. I have removed mine for now as I was too warm (Scotland, air temp 5c).
The only negative thing I have is the weight. It's on the heavy side but in fairness, I don't notice the weight while wearing the jacket.
I would be happy to recommend this to anyone needing good weather protection year round.
I bought this jacket to go with a new Oxford trousers (https://www.sportsbikeshop.co.uk/motorcycle_parts/content_prod/482005) as both of my old ones were falling apart and winter was approaching. The RST trousers that match this jacket were far too tight even when a size too big and The Oxford jacket that matches the trousers is far too short and does not come with the neck gaurd of the RST, hence the mis match of products. The big disappointment is that the zips do not match so I am not able to zip the trousers to the jacket and protect that kidney area from the cold and wind. Having said that I am so far pleased with the both the trousers and jacket although I have not used either in near freezing or very wet weather. They did stand up to a long weekend in Wales with the odd heavy shower. Until I can test them in heavy continous rain I can't really give a recommendation - and I'm not about to go out for a ride in the pooring rain just to test them.
Bought this in flo yellow for winter riding. My tractech evo3 jacket is XL and fits really well. This jacket also XL, not so much, long in the sleeves which I get as a winter jacket is best over the gloves but still far too long off the bike, VERY long on the body, bunches up when I'm sat down on the bike, it makes it looks like I have a massive pair of Mellons, the zip pockets on the hip are too small to get gloves in properly, the clip to hold the velcro neck collar open is useless.
On the plus, very warm, waterproof for now, vents are well thought through, and having bought the flo yellow, good visibility and reflective patches for winter riding. I won't buy again.
Nice styling and good fit, plenty of vents and pockets. Caught in the rain for 15 mins but kept me dry.
This jackets envelopes you in a blanket of excellence, at high speeds you do not notice the biting cold you simply feel like you are floating on a cloud. The pockets are large and easily accessible, I can fit the usual items in them eg fish fingers. The jacket zips to my trousers, or you can use it unzipped, don't feel pressured to zip it to trousers as it is long, you make your own choices! Sizing is great and true to size, I am large so I bought large!
Great fitting Jacket! Bought a 46 and fits perfect, extremely functional jacket and love all the ventilation pockets , look forward to using it in the autumn and winter
Another classic from RST. Big pockets and plenty of adjustable straps/studs. Just returned from a trip to the Lake District and it rained Friday, stayed as dry as a bone. Took the inner liner out and still as warm as toast, vents work a treat too when it gets hot. Highly recommend this jacket
I bought the jacket and trousers and am really happy with them. Has the feel and weight of much more expensive gear. I ride all year round in wales and haven't been cold or wet once yet. Even riding through horizontal rain on the Severn bridge.
Had the jacket for a month and it feels pretty good. I am a M however, as I use it throughout the year I ordered L (for the xtra layers if needed) and still a good fit.
I have only used it in misty, light rain conditions so I'm still waiting to test it's real weatherproof features but under those circumstances it felt comfortable and dry. The zipped neck warmer/ cover is a bonus.
I believe it's overpriced as I had other brands in the past with similar quality.
However, the most annoying part for me are the lack of chest pockets.
No chest pockets and the ones on the side are just hard to get in.
Overall, it is a quality jacket with good features and one of the few with back protection (which still is not worth £280) and years of guarantee.
First off superb service from Sportsbikeshop. Really fast delivery and came with hanger which always helps. Jacket fits as per the sizing chart perfectly. Enough room for base layers and armour but snug enough to look fitted. Plenty of adjustment on arms, neck and waist for a perfect fit. Only thing I would prefer is a slightly wider aperture at the cuff as pulling sleeve over gloves can be a bit footery. An extra zipped section like there are on the accompanying trousers to allow for easier access would be preferable. However this is a minor gripe. Can attest to jacket being wind and waterproof. Out in 6 degree Scottish February weather and was perfectly comfortable. Too warm if anything but maybe because I overdid the under layers. Not sure what it will be like in the better weather but there are loads if zippable vents all over the jacket so no reason to think it won't be just as wearable. Very happy with this purchase.
RST paragon 6 jacket definitely gets 5 stars! Been a motorcycle instructor that truly rides in all conditions I truly cannot praise this jacket enough! I've had many jackets that have cost twice if not three times as much! It's spot on! Warm, dry and I feel safe and protected in it! Well done RST.
Have been on a couple of cold weather rides, since purchase. Found it both warm and comfortable. I like the removable neck and chin covering. My only minor complaint is the side pockets seem to be lacking as much room as my other jackets, but these may give a bit over time. So far happy with the quality.
I bought this for my husband to replace a previous jacket. He says this one doesn't have big enough sleeves to fit a suit jacket underneath, as he uses it for commuting, otherwise its warm and weatherproof.
For the price I was left a bit disappointed in this jacket. I own the paragon 5 and certain good features on the 5 is missing on the 6. The outer pocket between the two zips that zip up the jacket for example. Also the cuff on the 5 is better to strap around your waist than the 6. The armour doesn't feel as good in my opinion as do the 5. It's an OK jacket but it's a bit disappointed for an upgrade.
I bought this as a winter jacket, bit hard to tell how it will perform in a Scottish winter yet, however I've used it in some heavy showers (with the lining removed) and it has performed great.
For the price I'm really happy with it so far
Very poor armour fitted in shoulders, back and elbows unlike the Paragon 5 which was a brilliant jacket. Plastic hook designed to keep the collar open is useless!.. really miss all the internal pockets that the last jacket had. Other than that - a comfortable warm and highly visible jacket!...

Additional pop studs on the chest vents allow air to flow through the jacket while riding, and thanks to the SinAqua Pro lining, the vents can stay open in the rain.
On top of this, pop studs and zips in the hip and waist help to tailor the fit to the rider, working in tandem with sleeve adjusters to ensure comfort. Even the smaller details have been developed to enhance comfort and weather protection. A removable padded throat-coat tucks under the helmet to protect the neck from wind and rain, while the large waterproof cargo and map pockets add practicality and protect keys and other valuables.
