Caberg Riviera V4 - Matt Gun

First off I have to say I had fanastic speed of delivery & Customer Service

Ordered a new open face Caberg helmet (Riviera V4) recently late one afternoon which was delivered about 10am the next morning! This was a replacement for one of another make on back order. At all times Sportsbikeshop communications and actions were clearly explained and they did what they said. If only all retail experiences were as good!

Now to the helmet itself. It's been some years since my open face Shoei became too old to countenance wearing and in this latest heatwave, I've missed not having an open face helmet to throw on for short trips to the shops etc., so I shopped around and Voila!

First impressions for what is a sub-£100 helmet are positive. It's well put together, plenty of Italian style, comfortable and light and the noise levels are OK with my ear plugs in situ. Yesterday's trip out to the Dentist was much more pleasant with a cooling breeze around my chin and the 15 miles or so passed without sweat or drama.

Disclaimer: I know and accept that an open face lid does not offer anywhere near the protection of my FF AGV, but I choose when I wear it accordingly and was pleasantly surprised to be reminded of the greater visibility afforded by an OF helmet!

Value for money, very stylish. Nice looking helmet. Sturdy construction, Feels secure when worn and super light compared to my previous helmet.

Second Caberg I've owned always comfortable fit for my head & love the fact they are made in Italy.
The helmet does fit a little shallower compared to my previous one & the visor does also seem to mist up a little even though the weather has been good so I'm little concerned how it will perform in the winter.
I love the internal sun visor & helmet looks pretty stylish with its Italian flag branding.

What you'd expect from a Caberg. Fits fine but I get cold ears…

The quality of this item I cannot fault. The fit felt great and the components also seemed solid. The one thing that spoils the performance of this helmet for me comes down to a fundamental design issue. The clear visor sits very close to the face, within an inch or so, and as a result it becomes fogged up immediately. I had read this in other reviews and wasn't sure but can confirm this is a functional issue with this helmet.

Bought to replace my twelve year old Davida Jet. The Caberg is so light that I thought it didn't really fit properly, but it does. The blue colour looks fantastic. Strap fastening is quick and easy to use. The only issues I have are noise and visor position. I now need earplugs, which were not necessary with the Davida. Also, the visor touches my nose and chin. The sun visor presses on the top of my nose, but can be used partially lowered so no problem.

Next day delivery, packaging was superb. Helmet is great value for money considering it's a caberg comfy looks good and sun shield is a big bonus

I already have a Black one. This is a second to match another ridng outfit!

Bought to use on short trips in the hot weather, so obviously not had a chance yet to use. Nice to see entrance and exit vents. Good in-built sun visor. One thing while trying it on is the visor seems so close to your face it instantly steams up. I'm hoping on the road this isn't an issue. Size seems true to Caberg although it does seem to sit a bit high on my face, exposing my chin with the visor down. Not sure if this is supposed to be as there is no paperwork explaining where it's supposed to sit. I suppose it depends on your face shape. Anyway, I'm sure the helmet will keep me cool come the hot summer rides and the visor will keep me safe from flying insects. Great service as always from Sportsbikeshop.

Fit is perfect so advertised sizing is accurate. Good solid feel to visor mechanism and drop down sun visor. All day comfortable and easy click chin strap. Add in lightning quick delivery, what's not to like?

This helmet is value for money. It feels light and offers great visibility. Comes with decent sun visor that clicks in well. It's fairly sound resistant but as a delivery rider I'm only using this helmet at low speed. I'd recommend this design to all fast food couriers and cruisers.

Wow great fit will keep me protected and has a nice big visor and also a tinted visor. This is for my trip over Greece where the weather is rather warm so this will give more air to me. Last time I suffered greatly with a flip up helmet was to heavy and not enough air.

Just perfect for the continent. lovely fit and very comfy and very stylish not for me it's the wife's helmet and she absolutely loves it.

Bought this to use on my bobber in the summer months (normally have flip up). It is comfy and the visor keeps the wind out really well with excellent vision and when up gives you a sense of freedom. Wind noise is fine for this style helmet. Would buy again
