As usual, Oxford provide an excellent product for a great price.
Being born in the 70's, I'm a big fan of the mid top trainer.
These look convincingly like normal mid tops, theyr'e comfy and have just enough room in them. My left foot's slightly larger than my right, and its not tight.
Theyr'e nicely armoured and give great ankle support and protection and the toe box is stiff enough to not make shifting un comfortable.
But, I'm also wearing them as trainers.
I did wear them in a bit by starting only lacing them to the hole below the ankle cuff, and went up a hole over the days. that seems to have softened them somewhat and helped stop that digging around the top that bike boots often have' due to the nature of the product, they're armoured!
Don't know how water proof they are, but theyre not advertised as such. I don't wear them when its wet, I bought them for next summer.

Very nice security and study book. Great ankle and toe protection.

Surprisingly comfortable even when breaking them in.
Just to be aware, trying them on is advised, I'm normally a 9.5 to a 10 UK but found a size 8 fit me best.

These are super comfy, probably come up a little large, but still good. Definitely cooler than anything else I've worn so I recommend.
Like others have said, they are stiff to start with, and the laces need to be undone quite far before getting in.

I like that they open up wide making them easy to get on and off. They are a stiff boot so take a while to break in. The fit for me was true to size. Overall I think if you want something to go with jeans they are a great choice.
