Klim Ai-1 Airbag Vest - Black

Okay so it's not the biggest volume airbag I think the ones you wear on the outside of your jacket are and then there most probably the safe ones to be fair but i wasnt after the biggest volume it for summer in hot weather that I could wear as a vest and then wear a mesh jacket over top so with my bass layer would keep me nice and cool in very very hot weather and not feel bulky so hence why I got this airbag vest so I can only really give it five stars on the look design and feel of it because let's face it haven't come off yet and the airbag hasn't deployed yet I hope this helps a few people it's an honest review

I've given it five stars due to its build quality and that it fits nicely under my jacket. Hopefully I will never have to write a review on its performance.

Brought this Klim Ai-1 vest after looking at all types of airbag jackets. However being lucky and having a sports bike and adventure bike, I do have a few jackets. Therefore rather than spend more to replace already good jackets this vest underneath is a good idea. You do need some room under current jacket so I suggest you take your jackets with you when trying this on and let the excellent staff help(MK Team) One jacket was a little snug (lockdown weight !) and can't be used with the vest.

Fit is snug with Elastic feel, so once on you really don't notice it. As it replaces the jackets back protection, the weight makes no difference.

The subscription is £12 month and you can start and stop if required, but the vest will not deploy without it. Battery life is about 25hrs but I have been charging once a week. Connection to your phone via the AP is easy. It's already had a software update which took a few mins. App tells you it's OK, battery life etc.

The removal of the unit to charge is a little fiddly but you soon get the knack of it.


Over all I rate this, but hope I never need it.

Not cheap but potentially a lifesaver
