RST D3O Essential Airbag Vest - Black

If you want a lightweight, super comfortable airbag for under your gear, this is the one. Fits like a glove, vented mesh works well, although the back panel did cause some sweat on a hot day. For me, I know there are bags with better coverage, but i didn't want something over my nice gear. The added bonus is that the price tag of just £269 means I don't have to stump up £700 on the day. I bought the yearly subscription at £120 instead. It's incredibly light compared to all of the others I tried instore, you hardly notice it, probably about the same weight as two back protectors. The app control saves taking it off to arm / disarm, but you must remember to turn it on. No cord to attach, this has an electronic system.
Overall, love this kit, coverage not as good as the Moto airbag, but to me that's quite an ugly kit to put over nice gear. Also, remember to add the chest protectors, that reduces impact forces to an absolute minimal.

Swapped my original RST jacket due to not being able to remove the built in airbag to be able to wash the jacket. This fits snuggly, is well vented and can be used under all my jackets (check fitting guide to make sure it’s suitable) Low speed spill riding through a ford conformed it works!

I have used the Ixon In&Motion airbag vest for the last five years and was looking to find a vest that was cooler for summer use. This new RST airbag vest is perfect! Made of a breathable mesh fabric to allow maximum cooling and is very stretchy and one of the most comfortable I’ve tried on.. ideal for under all my jackets and my current In&Motion box can be used in multiple airbags so no additional costs..
