Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...

It's a back protector which no one really wants to test in reality. I have put it in a John Doe loose fitting jacket and can't tell it's there which is possibly the best you can say about it unless it's needed.
The size large fitted into my John Doe XTM V2 hoody without any problems. Slightly thicker and stiffer than Level 1 protection but still not too bulky. It needs to be longer as it leaves the lower back unprotected but this is obviously related to the pocket size on the hoody. I haven't tested it and hopefully won't.
The dimensions are as follows; Medium: 38cm x 14cm / 15in x 5.5in (L x W), Large: 42cm x 18cm / 16.5in x 7in (L x W)
