Very generous on size and relaxed fit

Comfortable on, look great, not bulky which makes them ideal in hotter weather.

I got these and a pair of John Doe Mono Pioneer Aramid. Both 34 x 34 (I'm 6ft 2).
They fitted the leg and waist well, but I just found the legs a little baggy, compared to what I was looking for.

If you like a little more room on the legs, go for these, if you prefer more of a slim fit go for the John Doe Mono Pioneer Aramid.

Safety First:
I'd planned to review these a few weeks ago when I got them but never got around to it. Unfortunately today I had an accident, and I was so impressed with how they held up I decided to come and do a review.
I was travelling around 45mph when a car hit the side of my bike and I went down, sliding about 5-6m.

You can see in the photo the knee took the brunt of it, there was a small mark on the armour, but otherwise held up really well and all I got was a scrap on the knee.

Size & Fit:
I originally bought a bull-it jeans less than half the price. While they were functional they didn't look or fit as good as these.

The John Doe Mono Pioneer are lighter, and look closer to the pair of Levi's I wear when not on the bike.

I'm 6ft 2 and went for the 34" leg which fits perfectly. The waist size is a little snugger than my equivalent Levi's (but still ok). If you're on the upper end of a size, I'd go one bigger.
Note that I also tried a pair of the John Doe classic, which I found a little baggy, so these were a nicer fit for me.

I'd definitely recommend these, and once the insurance gets sorted I'll buy another pair.

I bought these jeans because of a recommendation by AI of all things! I've found them to be very comfortable and a nice loose fit , therefore very easy to wear on the bike. I like the theory behind the system for positioning the knee armour but found it lacking in reality! I found the original (and genuine John doe level 2) armour difficult to get into the correct position as with the jeans being such a loose fit it never seemed to be in the correct place once on the bike. Also I found the velcro that's used to attach the armour into the pocket irritated my knee after a while. To try to cure both these problems I bought D30 gohst armour with velcro attached but instead of having the velcro towards my knees I turned it the other way so the velcro was facing outwards. I personally found this to help with the positioning of the armour as with the D30 armour being flat it's easier the get it to sit over my knees and the problem of the velcro irritating me is now gone.
Overall I'm very happy with these jeans, definitely the most comfortable ones I've owned.

Really pleased with this neck tube. The material feels soft and comfortable against the skin, with a good amount of stretch without feeling too tight. It fits nicely under my helmet and does a great job of keeping the wind off your neck while riding.
The Black Grey design looks smart and is a little different without being too flashi. Lightweight, comfortable and easy to wear, a great bit of riding kit for the money. Definitely recommended!
