Fit is perfect - True to size. Stops that little chill when the sun dips in the afternoons.

John Doe Cargo Mono Regular Fit Trousers - Olive John Doe Cargo Mono Regular Fit Trousers - Olive
I wanted a pair of motorcycle trousers that were:
AAA rated
Comfortable and wearable on and off the bike
Didn't look like specific motorcycle jeans
Featured functional and useful pockets and belt loops that were strong and well positioned

These John Doe Cargo Pants met and exceeded my needs and expectations and are now the first pair that I choose to wear for pretty much every ride. The fact that they have discreet, slim but effective armour makes them comfortable to wear on and off the bike. There is a very definite high quality feel and look about them that is obvious as soon as they are taken out of the bag.
They really do feel and fit very well.
I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.

A couple of points to note which are absolutely not deal breakers given that sizing across brands of motorcycle clothing of pretty much all types is not consistent.
I am a 36" waist and regular inside leg size.
I found the 36" waist to be generous and the 34" inch waist to be an excellent fit.
The regular leg length is 29" rather than the usual 32" so I found them 'long' size best for me.

Supremely comfortable, easily the most comfortable biker trousers I possess. Not sure whether they'd hold up in a spill on the open road, but fine round town. John Doe Knee armour looks and feels cheap, so you may want to upgrade that..

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but the material is sturdy and well put together. pockets for armour have Velcro closures. Doesn't even look like you have armour when wearing. FYI, the horizontal stripes are barely noticeable in person.

Very pleased with this purchase. The Field of View is brilliant (a real noticeable step up) and it is quiet, comfy and light. Worth far more than it costs.

Excellent quality as you would expect. Very quick to change over (literally 2 screws) and comes with the face plates/fixing equipment so now I have a spare.

I like these trousers. They look great, and they’re quite comfortable. But for longer days the comfort reduces significantly.
Firstly the sizes are way off. Motorcycle clothing in general seems to be aimed towards boosting the moral of the older gentleman. But these go a step further. Be prepared to sizes at least two sizes lower than usual around the waist.
Secondly the area around the crotch is also fairly limited. After a while things get quite cramped around there, particularly is you slide forwards on your seat at all. “Be prepared to pick a leg” is all I’m going to say; that and get used to frequent adjustments.
Finally, I’ve had two pairs of these now. (The first were too big around the waist but kept because I couldn’t be bothered to return them.) Both pairs have had creases around the knees where the stitching has bunched the fabric up. It’s not all that noticeable on the bike, but it brings into question the quality control. As well as that they’ve both had a ‘wandering zip.’ As in the zip wanders from the top to the bottom throughout the day.

Overall I like these trousers, but they do come with issues
