John Doe Cargo XTM Aramid Jeans - Stroker Black Theses are great, they look great and are very comfortable, I like the fact I can wear them all day and not hot, can put them on in the morning for ride and wear them walking around and don't look out of place.
John Doe Mono Taylor Aramid Jeans - Indigo These jeans are so nice and most people would struggle to tell that they are armoured. Probably my best pair of jeans. On some trousers/jeans I m a 32. But 31 waist was just right. Not too tight on the legs either
John Doe Cargo XTM Aramid Jeans - Stroker Camouflage I have been looking for a good pair of riding jeans for a somentime now and have quite few but I wanted something that was comfortable while riding yet offers a good protection. So I decided to give those a go and I have to say no regrets at all. Yes they are pricey but certainly worth every penny. Trust me go and get one.
John Doe Cargo XTM Aramid Jeans - Stroker Camouflage I've had the black for some time now & bought the camo as a back up but I love the look so much they're now my main. Really comfortable, including the knee armour. I probably could have gone a size down but I'm not getting any slimmer - the length was maybe too much, the hip armour seems a bit low down (need to check if adjustable).
Mostly waterproof (if you wash them, wait until dry then iron to re-waterproof), except the groin - not sure if it's my riding position (cruiser with mid-controls) but when it's lashing down, I've twice had a pool start in the groin area...lovely.
Quite warm for walking around (they're thicker than they look, what with the lining). Fine when riding though & will do for temperatures 8° and up. Need thermals below 8°.
Storage is brilliant - as well as usual combat trousers pockets, there's a handy zipper pocket on the left for house keys & lighter. So seven pockets in all - back and lower side with poppers.
Love them.
John Doe T-Shirt - JD Lettering Black Great quality and fits to size
John Doe XTM V3 Softshell Ripstop Hoodie - Grey / Black Fit is perfect - True to size. Stops that little chill when the sun dips in the afternoons.
John Doe Cargo Mono Regular Fit Trousers - Olive I wanted a pair of motorcycle trousers that were:
AAA rated
Comfortable and wearable on and off the bike
Didn't look like specific motorcycle jeans
Featured functional and useful pockets and belt loops that were strong and well positioned
These John Doe Cargo Pants met and exceeded my needs and expectations and are now the first pair that I choose to wear for pretty much every ride. The fact that they have discreet, slim but effective armour makes them comfortable to wear on and off the bike. There is a very definite high quality feel and look about them that is obvious as soon as they are taken out of the bag.
They really do feel and fit very well.
I whole heartedly recommend them to anyone.
A couple of points to note which are absolutely not deal breakers given that sizing across brands of motorcycle clothing of pretty much all types is not consistent.
I am a 36" waist and regular inside leg size.
I found the 36" waist to be generous and the 34" inch waist to be an excellent fit.
The regular leg length is 29" rather than the usual 32" so I found them 'long' size best for me.
