If you don't ride in the cold all the time then spending a lot on winter gloves makes little sense. These budget options will help for occasional chilly rides
Customers generally praised the gloves for being warm, comfortable, and well-constructed. Many appreciated the unique design, which kept fingers warm by grouping them together. Several customers noted the need to size up for a better fit, with some mentioning difficulties in adjusting to the finger arrangement when using controls. A helpful feature highlighted was the visor wipe on the left glove. Overall, most customers found the gloves effective in cold weather, providing good protection and value for money.
I had been looking for a while for a longer glove that covered the bare arm between jacket sleeve and glove top.
I always have cold hands even with the Oxford heated grips on.
I have worn these gloves now through 1200 miles of all weather, Sunshine and rain and can thoroughly recommend them.
Hands have always been warm and toasty.
No rain has got through but I don’t know how they would hold up in a Monsoon. I tend to think they will be fine.
I was a bit concerned about the joined up fingers but no problems there. They felt just like ordinary gloves.
But I do think that even for me they will be a bit hot for the summer.
I would recommend this product.
A fanrastic pair of gloves. They fit really well and are great to wear in cold weather. I did a 300 mile trip with them on a few days after I bought them - temperature was down to 3 degrees at one stage but my hands were still warm enough. I can't comment on them being waterproof as it didn't rain.
They do look a bit odd, like lobster claws, but I highly recommend them.
Great service from Sportsbike shop at Boston, just to make the gloves even better.
Great service as always used this seller many times highly reccomend them
Really comfy, soft and warm.
Cuff quite small/tight but alright.
Delivery was quick and stress free as always with sbs
Normally I go for XL gloves but in this case the 2XL were a perfect fit. These gloves are well made, comfortable, and very usable in cold and wet weather on both the motorbike and bicycle. I must admit the double finger arrangement is unusual but given that I usually only use 2 fingers at a time on the clutch and brake levers, it is entirely logical in a Spock/Vulcan sort of way…."live long and prosper!"
These are better than my old lobster gloves in that they claim to be waterproof and can be used on touch screens. However they are no quite as warm but good at the price they are.
Wanted a warmer glove for work commuting, these fit the bill in cost, fit and comfort. Found i had to go a size up so check before you order
As above, so far so good.
I've had these gloves for around 10 days and covered just short of a 1000 miles 100 miles in rain, 150 miles in frost and the rest in cool conditions. Took just a little while to get used to the style of glove but not a big issue. The gloves were warm , dry, and comfy ( although I think.i should have got one size up,) I'm very happy with the performance of the gloves especially at the price. Let's see how they perform over time?
Fantastic service from Sportsbike shop. Thanks.
I suffer with VWF so my fingers are cold even in summer and I have tried numerous combinations of heated grips and types of gloves without success. First trip out wearing these and although the weather is relatively warm at the moment I believe I have finally found a pair that will do the job. Quality is good with leather reinforcement in the required places and comfort levels are excellent once you become accustomed to the claw configuration. I will just add, sizing is slightly small so go up one size.
A fantastic glove for the money. Been warm and dry so far. Very comfortable fleecey liner. Each finger gets it's own hole and you quickly get used to the two in one. Highly recommend.
Once you get over the strange look of the gloves and go out for a ride you realize just how warm and comfortable they are, they are roomy and warm from the moment you put them on, cold and wet weather does not bother them. Highly recommended. Do yourself a favour and join the lobster club !
What can I say, I did find the configuration a little awkward at first, once you get used to the three fingers they do become quite comfortable and easily manageable to use the leavers and switch gear. I found these perfect for cold morning and late evening, they held the cold at bay around 3 celsius and even in heavy rain they worked well. During the day when the weather has been mild my hands did become clammy and a little sweaty, just maybe need a glover line to help with that. These are well made by Oxford the quality and material seems to be of a good standard only time will tell. Also I find the velcro fasteners on the glove just right, they fit over my jacket cuffs which adds to the comfort. The knuckle protection fits right over your knuckles you hardly notice them, I would have loved some palm sliders but at this price point...Maybe I'm asking for too much. These are great gloves what can I say they are worth more than the price of the gloves.
This is the second pair of 3 finger gloves I have. I like the configuration. These Oxford Polar 1 gloves are very well made. They are constructed of leather and synthetic materials with a good amount of insulation. The velcro wrist and cuff straps make sure they fit snugly. There is a handy visor wipe on the left glove. I particularly like the palm pads which hold the twist grip without slipping. Great gloves very warm, comfortable, well made and at a very reasonable price. I initially ordered the XL which is my usual size but had to reorder XXL. XL's returned, no problem. Excellent service from Sportsbikeshop as usual.
Warm and waterproof hands at last, my normal winter gloves were just waterproof, using some fingers to keep others warm, great idea that works!
Winter gloves that really work. Have tested them on the bike at temperature's around zero, if you start with warm hands they stay that way.
So I am very happy with them. Thank you
Very warm and comfortable gloves, but unfortunately not for me. I just could not get used to the configuration for using my front brake so sent them back.
If you use more than one or two fingers for braking then these could be brilliantly warm winter gloves.
I did consider keeping them as walking gloves because they were so nice, comfy and warm, but decided against this on cost.
I decided to go down the route of fitting a set of Toucano Urbano Neoprene hand guards which allow me to keep using my favourite gloves in the cold weather.
Only ridden once with these gloves, but they're impressive. Look well made and sturdy, kept my hands warm enough on a 5°C ride on slower roads. I discovered they have a visor wiping blade on the left glove, brilliant. I am sure I'd rate these at 5, but on only one ride I can't vouch for their ultimate quality that only time can verify
