Great Jacket for chilly to warm weather riding
18 May 2025 by Matthew
It’s a great looking jacket on and off the bike. Size wise it is a bit on the short side, I got the size large which only just goes past my waist and once I’m sat on the bike there is a bit of gap at the base of my back. I’m only 5’8” so probably not the best for taller riders.

I’ve used this jacket daily for work for the last 3 weeks, it’s been fine for 3-4 degree mornings with just a t-shirt underneath and once you get moving it’s been ok in 17+ degrees, that’s without removing the thermal liner which I could do, but for a daily jacket I don’t want to be constantly taking the liner in and out as it is a little bit of a faff with 2 snappers in each cuff, 1 at the neck and zips down each side.

Plenty of pockets outside and inside, not had a use for the pocket on the left forearm yet but I’m sure it may have a purpose for someone. The zips feel nice and robust with rubber seals and storm flaps, the strings to make the zips a bit easier to grab however don’t look all that hard wearing.

One bad point I have found is that if the hood is knocked or isn’t zipped all the way securely it has the possibility to unzip itself, the most I’ve had it unzip so far is a good 1/3 of the way, but I do think that on a long ride or if left unchecked for a long period there is a chance the hood could come fully off. A snapper over the top of the zip securing that side of the hood would easily solve the problem but alas it isn’t there. I’ve taken the hood off now as the jacket is just as functional and I can save the hood for rainy days that I might wear the jacket off the bike.

On the whole its a jacket that is very comfortable, looks great and that I really like wearing and will continue to do so.

The Montana H2O motorcycle jacket is the ideal garment for urban mobility and will help you challenge whatever life throws at you on your daily commute. See it on the streets, and you'd never guess that the Montana H2O is a road-ready motorcycle jacket. Next to the longer archetypical parkas Rev'it already had in their range of commuter motorcycle jackets, they thought it was time to add a shorter one as well. The Montana H2O is made of a 2L PWR Shell material and has an incorporated hydratex Mesh G-liner construction to keep the water out.

To keep you safe, it comes complete with comfortable, lightweight, and ventilated SEESMART CE-level 1 armour at the elbows and shoulders. There's also an insert to accommodate an optional SEESOFT CE-level 2 back protector, in case you're looking for an upgrade. You'll find enough waterproof pockets to store everything you need on your daily commute when the weather doesn't want to cooperate. Adjustment cords and tabs make it possible to tailor the fit to your body, and you can use the jeans loops or the short connection zip to attach it to your pair of riding motorcycle trousers or jeans. Reflection on the back and on the detachable hood is added for extra visibility. With the detachable thermal liner inside, you wrap yourself in pure luxury and comfort on those colder spring, autumn, and winter morning rides. Without the liner, this motorcycle jacket is perfectly suited to keep you safe and comfortable from spring to early autumn. Look great and stay dry with the Montana H2O motorcycle jacket.
