Held Avolo WR Leather Trousers - Black

The trousers fit like a well-made pair of leather gloves, but for your legs.

I'm 6ft tall, weigh 78kg, and usually wear size 32 in casual clothing. For these trousers, however, size 34 was perfect due to the added membranes and protection. The length is also excellent. They fit over tall boots, and can be tightened around short boots with the velcro fastener.

There is no Held "Avolo" jacket as you may notice, and the black on these trousers is a unique "charcoal-black." To find a matching jacket, I had to order several Held options (SBS has awesome shipping and return policy, so logistics are easy with that). The "Cosmo" WR jacket turned out to be the best match, with the exact same black shade. Honestly, Held should have just named these trousers "Cosmo" and save us the confusion. The trousers also work well with the Street 4 jacket, but you can tell the black leather is not the same shade.

I haven't yet tested their "Water Resistant" claim, but the material feels excellent. I'm hopeful it will keep me dry, and I'll find out soon enough.

One thing to note: I like thigh pockets, which these trousers don't have (just standard pockets), but this isn't a dealbreaker. I recommend them for fit, looks, and excellent materials (i.e. protection).
