RST Pro Series Ventilator XT CE Textile Jacket - Silver / Black

This is my second ventilator. The first one lasted 10 years so if this one lasts as long it’s grate value. Fantastic for those very rare hot days.

Wanted a summer jacket that was waterproof and offered good protection. This jacket is substantial and great quality. It fits well but initially was a little snug but Sportsbikeshop staff helped me choose the right size and I'm really happy with it.

Superb summer jacket, awesome ventilation and fit. Would have gotten 5 stars had it been AAA rated, but very comfy and comes with L2 armour which is nice.

Bit of a trans jacket ie don’t really know what it is? With full liner fitted it’s too hot in the spring/summer and without it too cool unless it’s 25 degrees. I ended up cutting the sleeves off from the inner liner as the sleeves aren’t vented

What I expected

No complaints so far - comfortable and fits wider shoulders/back no problem, comes with back/elbow/shoulder armour and removable weatherproof liner. Have only ridden with the liner in so far and am comfortable with just a base layer underneath in 12-13 degree weather.

I've been using this jacket for the last few weeks and have found it to be very warm in temperatures down to 3 degrees when I'm just wear my work shirt beneath. The armour is all in the right places and doesnt get in the way when putting the jacket on. Size wise I went up one from what I'd normally get a hoodie in and thats worked out spot on.

I have RST leathers and love them but on hot local days I fancied a light weight jacket. This one ticks all the boxes and zips to my leather trousers. It's light and airy but has great safety ratings so it was an easy decision yes.

Love the jacket and the fact that it can be used as a normal summer jacket and if it gets too warm the liner can be removed to use as a mesh jacket.
In past been on a ride when the weather stats of well to boiling point later in the day back to cool again. Great to have the option of a light weight waterproof liner.

It just works, great air flow without the liner fitted keeping you cool. With the liner fitted it's windproof and perfect with just a t-shirt for temps around 15oC, late rides back home after the sun's gone down. Outside pockets are a bit small (can of coke just fits) and the internal ones fit a large mobile phone easily. Not used in the rain yet.

Upgrade on the previous jacket, press stud instead of Velcro on some of the fasteners.
Great summer jacket in hot weather , remember it's ventilated so shower proof not waterproof.
This time I went a size up for a much better and more comfortable fit.

This jacket is quite a revelation. I was originally looking to by and ADV style jacket for my 'adventures' but soon discovered how bulky, and in some cases, quite heavy these jackets could be. The RST Pro Series Ventilator XT was the complete opposite - it's a good weight, very well ventilated in the arms, chest and back and for the cooler days, comes complete with a waterproof and thermal liner. On top of that, the jacket comes with full AA rated armour, including back armour. This is a very well made, comfortable, protective jacket and represents incredible value for money too. I know there may be some ADV riders out there that will complain about the lack of pockets, but in reality and on a day to day basis, you may only use one or two pockets for your phone, wallet or keys and that's it. And when out travelling on your adventures, most riders I know have tank bags to keep all their bits and pieces plus travel documents so for me the lack of multiple pockets is not a practical issue. I think it's the design and style of adventure jackets being promoted makes you feel that you must have six big pockets on the front, one big one on your back and another six inside - but for what? With the liner, this jacket is good for 3 seasons plus a mild winter. If its hot, just the jacket, cool or cold add the liner. If its cold wet and windy, I wear waterproof over jacket and trousers and that cuts out all the wind, cold and wet. Perfect.

Just got back from a 2000 mile trip through the mountains of France. The jacket was excellent. Took the liner out for most of the trip but got caught out by the weather on the last day. I was drenched but when the sun came out, that and the wind dried the jacket fairly quickly.
With the liner in it will keep you dry. Riding back from Portsmouth at 6.30am the jacket kept out the English wind and the cold. Highly recommend this jacket

Really please with this Jacket. Having used this in France this Summer, it was perfect for keeping me cool. The fit was great too, although I did order a size up from where I normally do (but maybe I have gone up a size hahaha).
The only thing missing would be a water proof pocket, in case you get caught out.
Superb quality as always with RST. I bought the matching trousers too.
