Advice & Guides When the temperature rises, these are the jackets to help you maintain your cool

Customers are generally impressed with the RST Pro Series Ventilator XT jacket. They appreciate its versatility with an effective removable liner making it suitable for varying weather conditions. The ventilation is particularly applauded, offering great airflow for hotter days, while the thermal liner provides sufficient warmth on cooler days. The jacket's safety credentials are well-received with protective armor. However, some customers mention sizing concerns and difficulties with certain fasteners. Overall, it is viewed as a reliable, high-quality jacket that offers great value.
Looks amazing on and has a feel of real quality. The armour is CE Level 2 at the sale price this really was a bargain. Only one downside was that the reviews did say go up one size and I didn't. So I had to exchange it for a size bigger but that was my fault. Sportsbike Shop were excellent as usual
I've had a few RST products over the years & earlier version of this jacket many years ago that I grew out of due to putting weight on, they have always been great value for money, knowing RST jackets tend to be on the smaller size order a size larger than normal & fitted me well. I bought it for summer riding so haven't had a chance wear it yet, but the armour is in the right areas & feels secure in them, not like some jackets the armour "floats" around the elbow etc.
Great jacket from RST. The most important safety: level AA with all needed armours on Level2! Great value for money. You can unzip full upper body/arms thermal lining+waterproof lining (it's as one) to achieve great ventilation for hot months.
Overall probably best jacket with that kind of specification that cost half of price of more famous brands.
I had the Ventilator 5 which I loved because of its 2 separate liners (one quilted and the other a showerproof liner) so I was a bit sceptical about buying this with just the 1 liner. I am pleasantly surprised about how good the liner is but also found that the old liners fit as well so very pleased with jacket
I liked the jacket, but I haven t had it long enough to see how it performs to the elements.
First thing go a size up. Pockets zip on the side, so don't forget to zip them up. Back protector seams a little high on the back, but all said fits well and with the removable liner you can use it if the mornings are a little cooler. I think the green and black is the best colour option. Very happy with the jacket
Great jacket. Keeps me nice and cool in the hot summer evening. And the removable liner which i leave in keeps me nice a snug on my early morning ride.
The sizing defo coming up small though.
Well vented, best for 20 degrees and above. Waterproof liner not been tested yet but it does help keep the chill out when the temperature drops.
Went up a size to get good fit. Waist zip not compatible with other trousers - why aren’t they all standard..
Jacket fits really well and feels great, it’s so much cooler in hot weather so I’m very pleased
Great jacket at a good price. Keeps you cool in summer and if it rains just slip in the liner.
Good - easy to swap out the liner
Bad - what do you do with the line once you've unzipped it? No map pocket to stuff it into.
I needed a jacket for the heatwave but also for the vagaries of the British summer, this jacket fitted the bill very nicely. The mesh allows plenty of air through keeping you cool while motoring. The waterproof lining is warm when the weather cools and is very comfortable.
The only downside I’ve found is that the cuffs are a little tight.
Very nice jacket. Super impressed with the quality of the outer breathable jacket. Wore this recently on a baking hot day and was very happy with the ventialtion.
It comes with a very nice zip-in waterproof liner (which I haven't tried in the wet yet). Nice touches such as zips around the cuffs to stop it riding up inside the outer and double flap over the front zip to prevent water getting in.
Comes with a full set of level 2 CE pads for shoulders, elbows and back, which is very unusual for a ventilated jacket.
Sizing is peretty good - I ordered up one size based on other reviews and it fits really well.
Very happy!
It’s comfortable and cool in summer with the removable lining. Also has good safety features and a removable back support
I love it so user friendly great for long warm days and the liner is good if UK weather turns
Seems great so far, reccomend sizing up. Only issue is a fiddly zip.
I needed a summer jacket and this RST mesh jacket with removeable waterproof quilted liner, AA rated with level 2 armour including back protector for under £130 fits the bill. I've only worn it once but it's much cooler with the liner removed so more comfortable than a normal textile jacket in hot weather . Not used in the rain yet but normal RST quality, 4 good useful pockets too.
Makes summer riding a different experience allowing the breeze to cool you. No more overheating. Good fit. Comfortable.
