If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
These jeans have received widespread praise from customers for their well-made, sturdy construction and comfortable feel. The fit is generally true to size, though some have noted variations in length. The integrated armour is highly regarded for its discreet yet effective protection while riding. Customers appreciate the jeans' versatility and stylish, casual appearance, making them suitable for both on and off the bike. Many find them a significant upgrade from older gear, highlighting the advancements in comfort and safety.
I like the fit, the texture and the style. They feel very substantial and the padding (at the hips and knees) is in the right places. The sizing is spot-on. Whatever size you regularly take in jeans, order that size and they will fit. l wash them (infrequently!) at 20c and they don't shrink or loose colour. Easy to ride in and easy to walk in, but get a good belt or braces because they are reassuringly heavier than regular jeans.
For a tall slim person these jeans are an excellent fit; bit stiff to start with but they are AAA! Wasn’t sure whether to go for long or extra long leg as I have 34in inside leg, and decided on the long which was probably right choice for position of knee armour, as I think the extra long would’ve placed this too far down. Because they are black and a heavy material they are quite warm in direct sun, but defo better than leathers!
These are really good riding jeans, was a bit worried they would be unconfortable but they were are great for long rides and the armour is awesome strong but flexible.
Only issue i had is they come up a bit long, so if you normally wear a regular i would go for a short.
I needed something I could wear to commute in to work (which is a casual dress code office) that didn't stand out as motorcycle gear, so naturally looked at traditional looking jeans like these.
Firstly, I like these for the AAA rating. I feel comfortable that if I took a low speed spill in these they're going to be good enough. The cost of that is that the armour is of course bulky being AAA and I notice it all day, whether sitting at my desk, or walking around. It's not uncomfortable (it does 'stick' to my knees a bit when it's warm) but it's just ... there. I'm aware of it.
The rest of the jeans are okay - they look like regular jeans, and at first glance you'd likely not know they are motorcycle jeans either. So plus points for that.
Material wise, they do feel a little scratchy on the inside - the material isn't flexible or as soft as some other brands.
Overall, they're just 'ok'. For the price, they're acceptable. but if you're looking for outright comfort, perhaps keep looking.
I have had these for over a year now and have worn them to Italy and back so I have done plenty of miles in them. They are comfortable and feel that they would do a good job if needed. I do find them quite baggy now they have been worn in and perhaps should have gone with the slim fit style. So it might be worth trying on both styles to see what suits you personally. But they could be improved slightly by having 2 belt loops at the back rather than one and the hip armour pockets could be bigger so I could put larger armour in them as the ones supplied are small hence only 4 stars.
Excellent jeans and good value for money. I went for extra long as they tend to ride up a bit. They are fairly stiff at first but soften up nicely when worn and washed a few times.
As usual, very quick delivery from Sportsbikeshop, great service!
A really heavy pair of jeans, with plenty of armour installed, but all very thin and flexible. An excellent fit all round.
Very well made, Size was on the mark, They fit well.
The protective pads were probably the best I've come across.
My only criticism and its a personal taste issue they could be a little slimmer around the ankle for me but I'm sure they will suit most people just fine.
All in all a fantastic product that are well worth the money.
Am 38 waist. Bought 36. Perfect. Jeans are very good. Not too thick and the knee / hip protection also really good as not very intrusive like others Ive had in the past. I find it hard to pay so much for a pair of jeans but given how nice they are and how protective they are I am happy with the purchase.
Good quality jeans, fit and size is spot on, I went for extra long as even the long leg rides up when riding above my boots.
I tried on a few other AAA jeans but these are the only ones that fit like normal jeans. The armour is discrete and the jeans don’t catch or hang on themselves, so they look good. They are long, but I like that because on the bike trousers naturally ride up and I don’t want my legs showing. I’m 30” leg and went for regular cut. Off the bike I roll up the hems a tad. Definitely worth the money.
I've only done a few hundred miles in them so far. They are quite stiff at first and tend to ride up a bit, so longer boots recommended unless you're happy with some leg exposed above your boots. The standard armour is ok but I've swapped mine for D30 Ghost armour.
First pair of jeans and found them to be very comfortable. I ordered long leg to provide good coverage when they ride up as you sit on the bike.
Seem to be well made and not much heavier than a normal pair of jeans.
AAA rating for safety should the worse happen. All in all, happy….. so far!
These are true to size, fit well, quality materials and well made.
Very comfortable jeans, AAA rated at a good price
Great product and great service. Jeans arrived very quickly with no fuss or problems.
I am really pleased with these jeans. The previous pair I had (AA rated predecessors to these) were massively oversized, so bearing that in mind I ordered the next size down this time and they fit really well.
They came with the armour already fitted, but it looked like they were the wrong way round. A quick foray on YouTube confirmed this, so I switched them to the correct orientation.
When I first put them on, I was a bit concerned that the knee armour was too low to protect my knees, but as soon as I sat on the bike they were pulled into the correct - and comfortable - position. The hip armour was spot on in the positioning.
These are comfortable and well made jeans, and really seem to be worth the money.
Delivery and pricing from Sportsbikehop was excellent as well.
Just be careful with the sizing.
The jeans are just what I was looking for, AAA rated so hopefully in the event of anything untoward happening they should provide maximum protection for a garment of this type. They fit size for size and have a little stretch to them. They seem to be well made, I would say are a relaxed fit.
As always the SPORTSBIKESHOP were second to none in their delivery and support.
