Excellent Helmet at a really good price. Helmet is very comfortable and wind noise is very quiet for a flip up Helmet. having the pinlock fitted was a big bonus, the carbon looks really nice. Excellent service from sportsbikeshop as usual, would highly recommend the x-lite ultra carbon

This is the best helmet I have had, lining are so comfy and top liner is adjustable so you can get a better fit without buying extra liners. Size is a true size and intercom has hidden space under liners and once fitted is just invisible. I would not hesitate in buying another one in the future. SBS are truly amazing with so simple ordering and lighting fast delivery, also packaging is first class.

Appears to be a quality item, I especially like the lining adjustment function, really helped me set the helmet for my glasses. Very comfortable and quiet (compared to previous flip ups)

My flip up Shoei needed replacing. Sportsbikeshop Boston had both in stock, so I could make a direct comparison. Both are light for flip ups but the xlite felt a more secure fit also the cost was less than the Shoei. The carbon finish also looks good.

I am a fan of Xlite so when I saw this top spec 1005 UC come up with good discount at SBS I said "why not".
I take an XXL size and I always find Xlite fits my noggin perfectly. The interior padding is nice and plush and it's bliss over my ears.
I havent ridden with it on yet and whilst I don't expect it to be the quietest helmet out there I know from my experience with the previous Xlite flip front it will be fine with ear plugs.
The gloss carbon finish on this helmet is really nice and the visor area is huge. Exactly what you need when touring.
And as always the service from SBS was as usual spot on.

COMFY STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX

Bought the helmet last week and did a 500 mile trip around Cumbria/Yorkshire over the weekend, usual English weather full sun Saturday then rain all day Sunday. Helmet performed well in both rain/sun very comfortable a very happy rider.
As usual great service from Sportsbikeshop.

I've tried full face and open face but thought I'd try a flip up and honestly I can't believe how good this is, only gets loud above 80mph and that's on a naked bobber, the clear visor is amazing, so much bigger than normal so no feeling of detachment, amazingly comfy and intercom system fits perfectly, the flip up is so cool and very solid feeling, would recommend this helmet to anyone !!!!

Bought to replace a 5 year old X- Lite X1003. I like X-Lite as their modular helmets have a good SHARP safety rating. Out the box, my initial thoughts were that this helmet was slightly bigger and heavier than my existing helmet. We're talking grams here but I wasn't sure about it so I returned it to SBS. Then I had a re think and asked SBS to send it back to me (thanks SBS). I'm glad I did. I've worn it on the bike a couple of times now and it's a quality, very comfortable helmet with some great features. Love the one touch sun visor. It's also noticeably quieter than my previous helmet with no sense of it being bulky or heavy at all when worn. The wide visor with pin lock already fitted provides excellent peripheral vision. The only downside was that as X-Lite advertise it as N-Com ready I assumed I could transfer over my existing N-Com unit but it transpired it wasn't compatible with the new helmet so I had to buy a new coms unit.
