Verified Customer Reviews for Oxford AA Chino Textile Jeans

4.7
33 reviews
Our customers say…
Customers generally find these trousers smart and comfortable enough for both biking and office wear. While the fit is often considered true to size or slightly large, some have experienced inconsistencies with waist and length measurements. The material, though durable, may feel heavy, making the integrated knee and hip armour cumbersome. Many opt to replace the armour for comfort. Despite these issues, the overall quality and price point remain appealing to customers.

Different, but excellent
23 July 2025 by Ian j
Bought these as a change from blue denims. They look good and smarter than the blue jeans. Quality is good and the size generous. I'm a 34, but could have got into a 32. The size 34 gives a bit more room and more relaxed fit. If you want to wear them to the office you might want to think about slimmer armour. Very comfortable and would recommend.

Good jeans

Ruggedly made in tough, heavyweight fabric. Comfortable to wear. Generous sizing. Not the lightest jeans I own, but they feel safe and strong. Excellent value and service from Sportsbikeshop.

Great summer jeans
21 July 2025 by Sam C
These are a bit more regiular fit than impression given by the listing images so I wouldnt wear them to work personally, but baggy pants are back in and I'm happy with how they look for weekend rides. They're thick but comfortable and come with plenty of armour.

They don't look like chinos-but are good plain heavy Jeans. Correctly sized for me. Can only be paired with short boots. The armour was not included but I thought it was supposed to be from the description- luckily I had oxford armour I could swap in.

Comfy, ideal for hot weather.
18 July 2025 by TheNoddingBiker
These make all the difference (to typical black/blue) in hot weather. The fit is "stylish", much more so than Bull-It's "straight" jeans which I also have. I went for 32 (I'm 34 in standard jeans) following the advice here to "size down" and they're perfect. The hip armour is huuuuge, but inspires confidence. Front pockets are a bit tight, but that's the only complaint.

Quality @ a bargain price
13 July 2025 by Daryll B
Priced elsewhere at £149 this company provided them with free & fast delivery at £89!
Quality chino style m/cycle jeans by ‘Oxford’ incl. armour for knees & hips. Sizing was slightly large. I’m 32 waist and they feel like a 34 but I figure some give & movement is good on a bike + a belt helps. Bulky armour but I replaced them with Ghost armour and they look good - less padded & bulky. Velcro on the armour pockets would have been good. But I added that too. All in all a good product that you will look smart in whilst off the bike but being protected whilst on the bike! ‘Sportsbikeshop’ made the purchase amazing!!! Thank you!

Extremely comfy and Stylish
07 July 2025 by Zack N
These motorcycle trouser are the perfect blend of comfort and fashion, most people who see them, can’t even tell they are motorcycle trousers.
The safety pads are easy to remove when it comes to washing your trouser too.
Most importantly of all, they are extremely comfy. Would 100% recommend.

Great value for money
07 July 2025 by Robin Q
Great place Sportsbikeshop where you can browse and then try them on, which was never too much trouble for the staff.
As for the jeans fitted well and feel safe if needed rather than wearing thick armoured trousers

Great looking Chino Jeans with decent protection a
21 June 2025 by Ian
Good fit (go one size lower as they come up big). Tough but flexible. Standard knee and hip armour is OK but bulky. Replaced knee with D30 ghost protectors and left hip o es out for now. Overall very comfortable, slim/tappered leg means now flapping in the wind when riding. Overall I'm very pleased with these jeans, especially for the price.

Great quality and fit
19 June 2025 by David L
These are great looking trousers and with quick to insert armour a great addition to my biking wardrobe. A good fit and ordered to my normal clothing size (34/33). I don’t know how they react in an off, and I hope I never do.

Great but sizing is odd
14 June 2025 by Jeff
I love these jeans and find them very comfortable. However the sizing is too large … I am a 34 waist / 29 inseam and ordered the 34.
These were way too big so I re-ordered a 30 and the waist fits perfectly and the long legs could be adjusted by turning them up a couple of times but I also washed them twice in a hot wash and dried them in the sunshine and they shrunk in (being cotton) enough in length and are now an approx 30 inseam, which is perfect over or under my boots. The waist didn’t shrink in as much and remains very comfortable.

Size differences
06 June 2025 by Matt
I have 2 Oxford chinos - this and the Cargo version. Although both are W32, this one feels like a W34 compared to the Cargo version, and the legs are a good inch longer too. (I tried the ‘official’ W34 size and it literally fell off from me)
Other than that it’s comfortable and great office wear (if you switch the protectors to the D3O Ghost).
