You'd be surprised how many riders wear a helmet that's too big for them. Here's how to tell if a lid really fits you...
I always wore a full face helmet, but since the purchase of my Bonneville t120 I thought I'd go retro. For me it was a great choice, the bell helmet with all its tradition and modern upgrades looks fantastic and feels fantastic. The ventalation is very good with a great feel to the liner, the noise was always going to be louder than my full face helmet but it was suprisingly quiet. The internal sun viser is a great addition. Sportsbikeshop as always were very quick in there delivery, purchase it online on a Sunday and was wearing it on the next day.
It's a beautiful looking helmet especially with the drop down sun visor I have the bell 500 which is a good looking helmet but when bell bought out the 501 it's even better
I like it but not everyone will... The big problem is the sizing. It took ages to get the right sizing on my full face Bell helmet and this is just as difficult. I ended up going up a size otherwise I found it was too tight and gave me a headache after a half an hour riding - Now it is looser which is good for ventilation but on motorways it feels a bit too loose. Since 90% of my commute is town driving I'll put up with the ten minutes on the M4 keeping my chin down! As for looks.... Wow! The candy red is superb and with a bit of wax on it... fantastic. As always SBS delivery and prices are excellent.
Drawing on the heritage of the original Bell open face, the TX-500, the TX-501 maintains the design ID that made Bell famous. Its sleek features, premium finishes and bold colours make the TX-501 a good choice for riders that demand gear that functions well and looks good at the same time. The TX-501 doesn't cut corners when it comes to features. A drop-down sun visor, composite shell, micrometric buckle, composite shell, velocity flow ventilation and comms compatibility.
