It is waterproof but,if you wearing i.e. the Gerbin heated gloves or any longer gloves which close with velcro flap type that goes on top of the jacket sleeve, that create a gap there like a channel (because the bottom sleeve of this jacket closes with a velcro flap...) and in pouring rain the water will travel through these gaps and you'll get wet through underneath your sleeve up to your elbow and wet through your insides your gloves...part of that you'll be alright I think if you find a way to stop it traveling through these gaps, maybe if you tucked your gloves under the jacket sleeves... otherwise overall the jacket it's WATERPROOF.

I love this jacket, it’s versatile and comfortable. The ability to take the lining out and remove the additional collar is great for the summer months. Just had a weekend away and it wasn’t too heavy to wear sightseeing either.

Fits really well. Great with layer you take out. Only snag is the inside zip is much better than the external zip.

Had to go up a size but this is a great fit. Good quality. Particularly like the collar around the front of the neck as it helps to keep it warm.
