Bull-it Onyx Easy Covec Jeans - Black

These are really good jeans for the price, and are better than wearing a pair of high street jeans for the slide.

These jeans are only single layer covec, so I wouldn't want to wear them on high speed slides, but they'll be good enough for the low speed accidents I'm likely to have within 15 miles from home where I do most of my journeys.

Bull-it include a replacement button, which will be great for the longevity of the jeans as this has always been what goes first on previous armoured jeans I've owned.

They bleed quite heavily the first few washes so I recommend washing separately the first few times and prevent transfer to other clothes.

The included hip armour is perfect, but the knee armour is a bit too bulky for casual wearing. Considering these are AA rated jeans, I'll probably replace these with D3O Ghost for a more comfortable fit.

The jeans fit large, so I'd recommend buying your usual size and a size down, and return the pair that doesn't fit. For the armour to work it needs to be correctly positioned so it's better to wear the size that doesn't move the armour around too much.

Excellent pair of jeans, well made and comfy plus stops wind well to.

No issue with the quality of the product, my problem is fit. I am 34 waist and tried both 32 (some reviews said they come up big) and 34. 34 fitted, so bought them. After a couple of wears they have loosened quite a bit and are now too large around the waist, uncomfortably so and feel like they are falling down! Even with a belt the stretch on the waist makes them feel loose. Maybe just me, lots of satisfied customer it seems. No issue with service from SPORTSBIKESHOP, but as I have worn these looks like I will have to move them on via an auction site to recoup part of my outlay.

As others have said the sizing is on the larger size so for thos that are inbetween sizes go for the smaller.

One critisism for me was the knee protector pockets do no have enough adjustment, the pads end up a little too low for my liking.

Fit, as advertised which we all know is rare these days. Comfortable and reassuring

I've got a 35" inseam (to the floor) and the long fit is perfect. Drapes a bit when standing but great on the bike. Fit through the leg is good and matches the 'easy' description. Goes over mid height touring boots no problem. Overall construction quality seems good. Good rich black colour, yet to wash. Thumbs up for zip fly. Reassuringly thick, I wore with long johns on a one hour 6ºc ride and got away with it but also feel like they would breath well enough in summer.

Gripes:
-I went for my usual size because some of my regular trousers are tight these days but I still should have sized down. If you are comfortable in your high street jeans, definitely size down.
-The wasitband is massive. There is a lot of excess material at the top above the button. If I wasn't wearing a belt it would be annoying.
-The supplied armour is the bulky foam type, fair enough at the price but see below
-They have a convoluted 'shelf' system in the pocket for fitting the height of the pads, it seems fiddly at best but in my case is useless as I've put bigger D3O L1 Diablo in instead and the pocket is scarcely big enough, let alone use the shelf system, so they sit a bit higher than ideal and I can't do anything to move them.
-6 belt loops, i.e two at the back would be better, my previous cheap pair had that.

I wanted a pair of riding jeans that look and fit like normal everyday jeans but with the added protection.

These are great for that. Delivery and service was spot on as expected too.

I really like the fit of these. They look more or less like normal jeans. A bonus is that they come with the protectors. I liked my first pair so much that I bought a second pair.

These motorcycle jeans are incredibly well made, the fabric is tough but very stretchy, the armour fitted well and isn’t overly bulky, overall they give great protection while looking like regular jeans.
I am usually a 34 waist, but I found that they were too big for me so I returned them for 32 waist and they fit perfectly.
My return was handled expertly by sportsbikeshop, first class service as usual.

These actually look like regular jeans more than most motorcycle jeans. Knee protection isn't too intrusive which makes them comfortable to wear

I absolutely love this product, great true to size fit, comfortable, stylish, and more importantly, the built in armour sit on my knees correctly, and comfortably when riding and the hip protectors not too bulky. Would definitely recomend this product and will purchase again.
