Givi E300N2 Monolock Top Case - 30 Litre
Customer Product Reviews
I had one of these on my scooter and decided to purchase another for my Grom. Still waiting for the rack for the Grom so it hasn't been installed yet. It fits a helmet and gloves, or a 30l backpack, or a laptop with your lunch. Weight restriction means it's not so great to carry a large chain.
I am yet to use the item itself as it was bought as a gift but I was really impressed with the excellent service of Sportsbikeshop. Super fast delivery and great packaging ensuring the item wasn't damaged. I will certainly use this company again!
Just the ticket
Good value, well made. Good shape, can get my full face helmet in without removing the comms. They have improved the closing mechanism since I last had a Givi box. As usual Sportsbikeshop are superb ***** Visited their new store, brilliant!
Nice item well made and well finished
Good value. Fits a full face flip-up lid (MT-Raptor), but not much room for anything else. Ideal for my purposes as I've got it on a 2016 CBR500R and it sits high up on the back of the bike - anything bigger would look daft. My only criticism is that, as someone else has mentioned, you need to put the key in the lock to open/close the box and you can't leave it unlocked. A minor gripe though but not enough to affect the five stars I think it deserves. I have an SW-Motech Alu-Rack and adaptor and it simply clipped straight on. Very secure and no wobbles or rattles. I will be getting the backrest and high level brake light kits for it once funds allow.
Superb quality, great price, prompt delivery
This case is outstanding quality. Plenty of room to hold an XL Full Face Helmet plus gloves. The locking mechanism is solid and the overall finish of the box is really top drawer! The box is simple to install although I had to purchase some longer bolts to fit my rack (I have a LEXMOTO FMX125). The bolts that came with the box were about 20mm too short. I got these for 3 quid at Screwfix - so no drama at all. This is my 4th purchase from Sportsbikeshop.co.uk and I can recommend them HIGHLY. The pricing was the best I could find anywhere. The order process was dead easy and payment was secure. Delivery was REALLY fast..and I was kept informed of delivery status by SMS. Very happy and will definitely use Sportsbikeshop again in the future.
Does the job
The fittings are universal and should fit easily to a rear rack, although it is a little fiddly to do so, so take your time and think things through a little before you start fitting it. The box itself is very sturdy - compared to cheaper competitor brands, which were very flimsy and didn't look secure - and surprisingly spacious for such a compact item, which suits my little Kymco 125cc just fine. Anyone wanting something to store a bit of shopping in, or to transport your work items in as part of the daily commute, this will do the job.
Easy to fit, sturdy, full face helmet and gloves fit snugly into the case. Took me a while to grasp the locking/unlocking process and remembering to leave the key in an unlocked position to complete the operation. Also Identified the need to pad items to stop them rattling when the bike is moving.
Solid top box
The last owner of my current bike had already fitted a Givi rear rack so the mounting bolts and universal plate supplied with this box were a perfect fit, however I'd be willing to bet that it would fit on pretty much any other rack out there too. In terms of quality I can't fault it, it's solid, looks decent and keeps the rain out, and other than the slight annoyance of having to leave the key inserted to lock/unlock the box I'm quite happy. Adding a bit of old foam padding I had lying around to the bottom helped stop any rattling from the contents while riding.
Always impressed with the quality of Givi's top boxes. I had the previous version of this top box which had a slightly different locking mechanism. This one is a vast improvement and is quick and easy to use. The quality of the materials is great, it's sturdy and simple to install. Easily houses my Caberg Duke with a pair of gloves too. If I'm being a bit nit-picky, the only thing I'd say is that there can be a slight rattle from the box when going over a bump or pothole.
