Good top box.

Feels sturdy and premium, was slightly awkward to fit but once you've figured it out it's no problem.
Sticker on it is paper based meaning your lovely brand new top box ends up covered in sticker leftovers.
Noticed water under the plastic reflector, so I'll be keeping an eye on it.

Mixed bag

The box and mounting plate seem well made and are certainly strong. The mounting plate bolted nicely on to my factor carrier without the need for the extra fittings supplied. I sent the first one back as I thought it was faulty, but its replacement had the same issues. First the cover that fitted over the mounting plate to hide the mounting bolts would not stay put. It kept popping off. In the end I just drilled it and screwed in down using the screw hole that was already part of the mounting plate (from a previous cover design I guess). Second fitting the box to the plate was quite difficult. I think the spring in the lock mechanism is too weak. I couldn't get the box to lock at first. In the end I found that after leaving in 30 seconds or so I was able to lock it, but prior to that the key would not turn. So it works after a bit of faffing. Lucking I only need it for very occasional use so can put up with it. The service from SBS was fantastic and helpful as always.

Fits very tightly into the rack so it is very sturdy and fixes very firmly with no wobble or movement.

Overall this is pretty good. It fits a full face lid, feels sturdy, and hasn't had any leaking. The only downside is that it's not very easy to fit. The mounting brackets needed to be hammered flatter for the bolts to go all the way through, and its quite hard to wedge the box in once you have the mounting plate on.

Perfect for the daily commute. Excellent product for the price. Straightforward fitting, even for a novice like me. A couple of additional bolts needed to secure to the SW Motech plate that was on the bike

Just what I wanted

Not a fan of top boxes - until now. I wanted somewhere to put my helmet and gloves rather than carry them around. This fits the bill perfectly and I am impressed with the quality. When I park up the disc lock and chain comes out and the helmet goes in.

Bought for local jaunts for Mrs R's bike. Big enough to get a helmet in but not too big that it acts like a sail!
This is good quality plastic, and is secure on the bike. Ive used their kit over many thousands of miles with no leaks and no drama. Rumor has it they make luggage for a well known Bavarian company.

Fits great on the Shad carrier.Very easy to fit and remove.Only down side can't fit a motor cross style helmet.Normal helmet without peak no problem.

Sturdy bit of kit, like the fact you can change the colour on top.
Bear in mind without buying a coloured top to go with it you only have the basic 'Mat' finish on top and it does look like there is a piece missing, There isn't of course but it does look like there is.

The Shad SH33 is a compact and practical case, with the capacity for gloves and a full face helmet. It closes with a simple press and comes with the option of a wide range of interchangeable colours (sold separately). There is also a backrest option. To improve passenger comfort the rib between hinges has been eliminated while for better overall comfort there is now a better ergonomic handle. To make the case safer there is now reinforcement of the fitting mechanism between case and rack. The metal axis with no holes and there is a reduced gap between lid and hook. Plus the colour can be changed easily by simply adding a coloured top cover (sold separately) which can be easily swapped any time.
