Kriega Urban Shoulder Bag
Customer Product Reviews
Great bag, it looks great and is really sturdy. Love the main waterproof compartment which has come in handy for those recent wet commutes into the office. The bag is easy to sling over my shoulder even with my bulky jacket and the slidding adjustment ring on the strap is just pure magic!
Well made, versatile
Strongly made, easy to use. The shoulder strap adjustment is very quick and easy, so it's no trouble getting it over a bike helmet and then quickly shortening the strap. I don't find the optional detachable waist strap to be necessary as I ride in an upright position. It might be more useful for racing style bikes. The zip compartment on the back of the main flap is useful for flat and small items. It will take A4 paper with a little room to spare. I would recommend this bag to others looking for a good quality and comfortable to wear bag.
Bag for Life
Tried & tested, does the job. Lock straps seem a little short when packed to capacity. Not sure how they'll cope if you add the extra pouches but I'm sure they've thought it thru. A bit weighty, but I suppose depends what you're cramming. And it'll keep you warm; if summer ever arrives I might strap it on the rack.
The right bag
I needed a bag to carry music around. I ride all year, so it needed to be able to withstand to the rigours of our climate. It also needed to stay in place on my back and be comfortable whilst being worn. So far it has achieved all with panache.
A more practical alternative
The role this bag shines in is as a fully waterproof bike bag that doesn't look out of place as a regular messenger bag. I spent a good while looking for a decide commuter bag. Most offerings seem to be either non-waterproof, huge, or massively over-engineered beasts that look ridiculous when off the bike. This bag by contrast now pulls double duty as a regular bag because its actually a very solid messenger bag in its own right. Pros: Adjustable, rugged, waterproof, big enough for all your commuting needs and sufficiently subtle for general business use. Rubber backing ensures it doesn't move around whilst riding. Cons: Not convinced that the expansion use-case of adding 2x US-5 packs is worth the time, money or effort - but good to have the option. Roll-top could be an inch longer for added peace of mind. 5/5 Would recommend.
