Flipping brilliant, warm and comfy

Last winter I had cold feet, I tried all sorts of socks and foot warmers but the Rev'it Skywalk boots just made my feet cold. What I realised was they didn't have or even claim to have a breathable liner and I was noticing my feet sweating a lot. So after reading the reviews here I bought these. I no longer even think about foot warmth. I've a 30 minute motorway commute and these are nice and warm even at the recent 3 degrees C early mornings, the leather is soft enough directly out of the box and the ankle articulates really nicely. I ride a Triumph Sprint ST 1050 which has a slightly canted forward position but I think even on a sports bike these would articulate enough at the ankle. I'm a size 8 in everything and these are perfect. Length is fine and there is space to wiggle my toes but they are still snug feeling. I'd say I have slightly wider than average width feet (But not wide) and these feel fine. If you have narrow feet you may find these slightly loose. The zip is up the inside and has velcro on it so it doesn't dangle loose and the large flap to cover it is easy to use and is held strongly in place with the Velrco. I found that fastening plus the shape of the heel cup makes these feel really secure and they are very very easy to walk in. There is a new grip pattern on the bottom of these which I thought was just more marketing but its actually brilliant. Super grippy on the pegs and grippy on the tarmac too.

Great new boots

After having 42 size boots, I bought size 43 and my feet felt great and had good movement with no vibrations felt from the footpegs. Well done Alpinestars for these V2 boots, a great attention to detail and comfort.

Comfortable and waterproof

Comfortable fit, both on and off the bike. Zip and velcro closure makes sure boot is fixed in place. Ankle guard works! Keeps feet dry and warm in the wet. Not tried in the winter re warmth. For fitting, go for your shoe size.

Nice boots, slightly different sizing to SMX 5

SMX6 Gore Tex. Background: these are replacements for my worn out SMX-5 WPs. They lasted about 20k comfortable miles. Previous to that I had SMX 4s (also very good). First of all, the quality is really nice. Additional armour over the SMX 5s is welcome and subtle. There's a slight squeak from the side plates but not really noticeable unless you're listening out for it. I have narrow feet and I chose the EUR43 size as that is what I had for the, perfect fitting, SMX5s but these seem to be a slightly wider fitting and they feel slightly loose by comparison. Might be worth trying a size down if you've had the 5s. I might try insoles as there's room above the toes as well. Despite this, I've worn these for hours on end, on and off the bike, and pretty much forgotten about them as they are so comfortable. I wore them through the British cold weather in Feb (4-5 deg C) and they were warm and kept the rain out (WP trousers over boots). We had 19 deg C temp last week and they were comfortable. Narrow foot entry/exit around the ankle area but not uncomfortable to take on and off. No toe sliders (there were on the 5s). If you've not had this sot before you have a zip up the inside of the leg that is then covered by a large velcro flap. The zip tab itself has velcro on it to stop it slipping down. If your leg is near your bike's foot peg when you're stood, sometimes this flap can catch as you lift your leg back up but it's a case of technique. I had no problems after the first ten miles or so but it's worth being aware of. I also got two Alpinestars stickers in the box but they were nicked by my kids :-)
