News Oxford’s latest development aims to replicate the effects of Gore-Tex Pro for a fraction of the cost

Customers have offered mixed reviews about these trousers, pointing out various aspects of their design and performance. Some customers find the fit and comfort satisfactory, noting the tights are warm with a good thermal liner, waterproof, and accommodate larger boots. They appreciate the laminated feature that keeps them lightweight when wet and quick to dry. Conversely, issues such as improper sizing, leaking at the crotch, inadequate knee armor placement, baggy legs, and lack of heat patches are cited. Overall, the reviews suggest a product that is promising for some but flawed for others.
Used Weekly throughout the year for the past 3 years. Just perfect. The included braces are a bonus too.
I’ve only worn these trousers once so far but would be happy to recommend these to other people. They seem well made and have great adjustment for fit. In my case it’s just nice to know I’m going out in protective gear, instead of a pair of jeans.
Also they come with excellent guarantee (3 or 4 years?)
Great addition for the jacket and works very well as a combination. I use these on the colder days and they work great.
Bought these some time ago and never wore them. I started wearing them when riding to work as they fit nicely over my work trousers and being waterproof I wouldn't have to mess about with over trousers. First time I got caught in the rain the crotch leaked immediately. Once the water is in it just keeps coming. Really dissapointed with Oxford products having already returned another of thier trousers that had a removable liner. They also leaked immediately upon experiencing rain! I have pyjama trousers that are more waterproof than these trousers. I don't know how Oxford can advertise thier products as waterproof when they clearly aren't. Let's hope they don't start making boats.
Fits into the jacket, on a long or short zip, to the millimetre if you get the same size trouser/jacket set crazy warm and cozy wind and weather proof. For the price, unbeatable value for money. Sportsbikeshop Southampton has a fantastic team who are keen, knowledgeable and highly approachable. If you re in the market for great value for money, or just on a budget (who isn t ) this is the kit for you..!
Wanted to love these but they were just an odd fit. Waist fit right but squashed around hips and bum. Way too tight when on bike. I m 5ft 9 with a 34 in waist. Feel like they are made for someone without buttocks!
Bought these trousers as I already had the jacket which has been faultless. I'm yet to try them in the rain but for comfort and warmth they're great. My only gripe is the velcro at the bottom of the leg is too short and very thin.
Overall the pants seem good quality and zip up to my Oxford jacket great. I sat in between sizes so ended up going for the smaller size and removing the thermal lining, opting for thing merino leggings instead. The thermal lining is pretty bulky and removing it made a different to the sizing. I would normally take a 30” waistband 32” leg in jeans. Open for a Small with long leg.
Well designed and well made, good fit. Very pleased. haven't worn them in the rain yet
Went up a size deliberately so I can put on over work trousers. Took out the liner to make a solid spring to autumn commuter. Been out in heavy rain, no leaks. Long leg option is great for me to go over boots.
Velcro waist cinch is strong. Easy on, easy off.
I'll probably get another pair when these are knackered.
How can products made by the same manufacturer come up so different in sizes? I’m 5ft10 with a 32-34 waist and 32 leg. Ordered these in S and M (both regular length) along with the same sizes of the Montreal 4.0. I couldn’t even do up the size S of these trousers yet the Montreal’s fitted perfectly! The Montreal’s were a much better fit overall whereas the Mondial’s were very baggy in the leg (size M was a good fit around the waist) so despite the Mondials being the supposedly more superior product I opted for the Montreal due to the overall fit and look of them. I rated these 3 stars as I can only assume they are otherwise good trousers but as I didn’t keep them I haven’t put them to the test on the bike.
Really pleased with these trousers. They kept me dry and warm during a recent very wet tour of the Brecon Beacons.
Outstanding value for money and completely waterproof
If you re looking for textile trousers that are completely waterproof these are NOT for you, if you re looking for a pair of textile trousers that are really comfortable to wear and that are good value for money and that are showerproof these are the textile trousers for you
Good for the price, ventilation could be better and the inside liner with the thermals removed is a little scratchy but overall a good product
Really happy with this item. Fits really nicely with adjustable height armor plates for the knees. Has really good quality zips for the straps and to connect to the jacket. Useful vented sections in the legs and great zips at the bottom of the legs. Looking forward to try out the water resistance of the laminated material.
There are bargains out there with not such big names.Nice piece of kit

As these are both a part of the Oxford Advanced range, they are supplied with a 3-year manufacturer warranty period.
They do indeed.
These jeans have both a long and short connection zip, and so you can connect to the jacket using either of these, depending on which length connection zip your Oxford jacket has.
