Oxford Mondial Advanced Textile Jeans - Black
Customer Product Reviews
I wear size 32inch jeans and I purchased a size medium which fit very well. Leg length is good and not to baggy and the calves either. I have found the trousers to be warm and completely waterproof in heavy rain. Highly recommend
Exchanged no problem
Ordered a pair of Mondial trousers but unfortunately received the incorrect size. The excellent returns process was easy and efficient - which is a well known SBS facility - still waiting on replacement trousers but I'm sure that's due to the current situation as SBS delivery is normally next day. Cheers
Replaced due to accident !
5 vehicle pile up on the A1M, me on my R1200RT doing 3 mph to stop being hit by a 60 mph car. I was wearing these Jean which I bought April 2019, and done around 20k miles, been a fine piece of kit and a great price, unfortunately for me the emergency services removed all my kit due to the accident checking for any leaks !! I have now replaced for like for like as I know how good this product is and with the small saving from Sportsbikeshop its even better value now. Big thank you to the emergency services and Lister hospital for looking after me they are the best..
Brilliant trouosers Oxford stand out again
I have already written a review on the outstanding jacket and these trouser are right up there with being versitile and waterproof and plenty of air vents depending where you are. However I have one issue and that is the straps at the base of the trousers simply aren't long enough so you feel like you are wearing flares, which lets wind get right up there in bad weather. However its just being picky Very good trousers to go with an excellent Jacket.
I found that seem to be 1size smaller than you think wolf jeans I am a size 34 waist in the Oxford Jean I needed a size 36 waist. Otherwise good quality good length and fit though seem extra baggy at the bottom of tf the leg but there is a velcro adjuster. Should fit OK over boots.
Warm and comfy
Nice fit, very warm and so far waterproof. I like the fitted braces and the adjustable belt. Originally intended to buy the Montreal 3.0 in the same size, but went for these as they were a much better fit. I'm 34/36 and went for XL. My only criticism would be that the leg ends are a bit baggy. They can be tightened with the velcro, which then looks like you are wearing cycle clips (remember them?). I am a 32" leg so went with regular length, which comes up a bit short when on the bike. I am being really picky here, on the whole a good buy.
Having tried countless pairs of textile jeans I have found these Oxford Mondial jeans. Having " average" length legs it's great to find jeans with shorter length. Not only do they fit perfect but the knee protection is in the correct position, making them more comfortable to ride in.
Just what the doctor ordered
Only a 4 start given at the moment, as I've yet to test the waterproofing. The fit is perfect and the quality shines thru. I have the jacket and trousers so they zip together to keep out the elements. The legs are a tad wide, even when the Velcro is at its tightest. I would recommend the Oxford Mondial set without a doubt.
Not bad at all
These aren't the slimmest or best looking textile trousers but they do the job. They've kept me dry through several commutes in heavy rain. And they're very comfortable to wear. My only issue is the over wide leg opening (a feature affecting a lot of textile pants these days, it seems). I fitted a couple of snap fasteners so I can get them tight around my boots. In the recent hot weather I've been leaving them in 'flared mode' to get a nice breeze up there! I wear a 34-30 jean size but got the XL Reg so I can fit them over my work clothes. All in all, pretty good.
Good value dry pants
Fit excellent, good ventilation and light weight for summer riding, so far they have been totally waterproof even though other reviewers say otherwise. The connecting zip and braces work well with the matching jacket, no problems with either as yet.
Tried them for the first time today, did a 180 mile ride out, was pleased with the fit and comfort, but when I took them off I realised there was a big burn hole at the bottom of the leg where it had touched the exhaust. My previous Frank Thomas ones had heat proof patches there, something oxford should have done! If you have a pair of these and ride a Tiger 800xc beware of this issue. As far as I'm concerned they aren't fit for purpose as a motorcycle trouser should be designed to cater for this scenario, and not melt like a plastic bag on a fire!
Soggy Pants !
Very disappointed First pair of trousers leaked in croch ,replaced by sbs with no problem, second pair leaked same place ,these will be going back also ,I'm also on my second jacket (not bought at sbs )second jacket also leaks on both forearms at top of zip can't understand all these excellent reviews complete rubbish as far as I'm concerned will be buying goretex..
Great style and fit
I'm 34" waist and 30" leg and the L size regular leg fit great. Good pockets zips and Velcro and the removal braces are a nice extra. Armour sits in the right place and winter liner is good quality. Venting is very good so will be good for the hot weather. I also purchased the Xl jacket and both zip together and fit great. I've given 4* as I've only been out in some heavy showers and not all day rain. Bone dry after the showers. Overall I'm very happy with the value for money as this complete suit is cheaper than most big brand Jackets.
