Advice & Guides For the best chance of staying dry, laminated waterproofing is the way to go…
Customers are impressed with the jacket's quality, comfort, and waterproof capabilities, often outperforming more expensive options. It's praised for its fit, venting, and quick-drying, laminated fabric. The removable thermal liner and adjustable features offer versatility for different climates. Some customers noted issues with the cuffs and collar adjustments, but overall satisfaction remains high. It's described as a great value for money, being effective in varying weather conditions. Many prefer this jacket over pricier brands, highlighting its excellent performance in both hot and cold weather.
This is a good value versatile jacket, sold to me by a knowledgeable crew at the shop.
I have been wearing this jacket for the last month or so and it's been great. Due to it being quite warm I've been using it with all vents open and it's been great so far. I've had a few colder rides where it has blocked all wind and kept me warm. I think it may be a bit too much during the hottest summer days even with the thermal removed and vents open, but for every other day it's fantastic.
Very comforable, great back and arm protection, and the double-lining keeps you very warm.
Good gear, has full arm length thermal, lots of vents and big deep pockets, very easy to do up and the buckle around the neck is easy to fasten
Waterproof jacket very comfortable and durable still serves me well after 3 years. Recommend
This is the second one of these jackets that I’ve bought, they’re comfortable waterproof and practical. I’ve had several of the other so called top name brands,in my opinion this is a better product.
I'm really impressed with this jacket. The thermal liner is excellent and the waterproofing is holding up nicely! Hasn't let me down yet.
I really have no complaints apart from the sleeves, or rather the cuff, can be a bit snug when trying to fasten the zip over the top of larger winter gloves.
I have nothing else to say other than I'm looking forward to using this jacket in the summer as I feel like it will be nicely vented for riding on some (hopefully) warmer sunny days!
This jacket is superb value for money. Oxford build quality and with laminate construction makes it a great value waterproof jacket. Very comfortable and full of pockets and vents for warmer days.
For the price paid I can't complain, however like with all things, you can get better quality albeit it will cost you a lot more.
Feel and look amazing I believe that is a well known jacket worth every penny
Good quality no doubt!!
Again staff was great giving me support and information
Excellent jacket. However having only worn it half a dozen times or so the mesh lining in sleeves pulled away from the cuffs. Returned to Sportsbikeshop who agreed it was a manufacturing fault. Oxford issued a next day replacement.
Top customer service from both.
my goretex jacket failed on me (which is not what you need in the wettest winter I can remember). Having limited funds following Christmas period, I was lucky that SBS had dropped the price on both the jacket and jeans so I thought at the price it was worth a gamble. I won! Really impressed with the waterproofing! After a few weeks of storm after storm (I ride daily commute of 65 miles each way), I have stayed completely dry.
Pro’s and con’s:
Pro’s, waterproof, sizing is spot on (easily get my keis jacket underneath), what looks to be excellent venting.
Con’s, Without the heated jacket I think I’d freeze (not very good insulation), zips at cuffs are fiddly especially with venting zip.
Overall an exceptionally good 3 season jacket!
I found myself needing a replacement jacket.
Previously I had an Alpinestars Andes3 which was great in every way but it was time for a change.
I wanted something of equal quality but with more vent for use in slightly warmer conditions.
After some research I decided to try the Oxford Advanced.
I’m getting a bit tubby in my old age and tried on two different sizes one of which fitted perfectly.
There really is nothing not to like about this jacket.
It feels light and roomy with excellent ventilation. I like the two way zipper on the cuff which I imagine will be useful in summertime.
I have been caught in a few downpours since buying this jacket and it has kept me dry perfectly.
There are plenty of adjustable Velcro straps if you want to Taylor the fit.
Highly recommended.
Three years and forty thousand kilometers later and the jacket is still perfect.
Waterproof and warm with great venting, brought as a summer jacket so my original can just be used in the winter. A few years old and still going strong, just grubby and washing doesn't get the muck off the back from riding through the winters on a MT07.
Had a few years now, been washed a few times as riding a MT07 it does get mucky in the winter. Very waterproof, never leaked and cool in the summer. In fact just brought new ones for me and the wife.
As they say, there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad gear. Today's riding jackets are expected to be technically brilliant but that comes at a price with laminate jackets appearing at the top of that pile. Enter the new Oxford Mondial - technically brilliant but at a price that is within reach of all discerning motorcycle riders. In addition it's light weight, doesn't hold water in a downpour and dries out really quickly.

There are 2 external pockets that are not waterproof. There are 4 internal pockets, 2 on the inside of the thermal liner and 2 on the inside of the jacket itself. Whilst there are no dedicated waterproof pockets, the 4 internal pockets are on the inside of the waterproof liner, so there should be no water ingress from outside conditions.
