If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...
Toured Scotland with these pants and it rained solid for2 days they kept me warm and dry all through it even the pockets stayed bone dry inside cannot fault these jeans the extra piece that goes up your back kept the cold and wind off they were great, would highly recommend them .
Excellent value for money and a good fit. The first outing saw be getting drenched outside- bone dry underfeed- very impressed.
These are great at this price, expected them to be ok but they are comfy warm and so far waterproof. Sizing could be better I ordered large then ended up in extra large now I'm normally a 34-36 waist so take note. My lad has had the large they are a bit big but he is only a 28-30 waist.
Not had time to fully test these out however they fit well (went for small over medium, my typical choice, based on guide).
They seem very well made and good value for money.
Got these as they were on sale, and the pair I'd originally intended to get weren't in my size. These are fantastic. Got to test them out Christmas Day just gone, while doing a day trip to my mum in London (I live the other side of Bristol). The journey there was constant spray from the wet road and heavy fog, legs were dry when I got to hers. Put them by the radiator to dry ready for the ride home later
When I went home it was heavy rain the entire 2 hours of the journey, with standing water and massive spray from other vehicles.
I. WAS. BONE. DRY. Never had a pair of trousers like it. And by the next day despite the outside being dripping wet, there was no dampness inside the trousers as you sometimes find, when the water has time to continue to soak in.
I cannot rate these highly enough, and as someone only 5ft1 with short legs, they don't drag on the floor or need cinching in.
My only criticism is that the metal tab for the zipper to do up the front of the trousers has snapped already after only a weeks use. However that's still not enough for me to reduce the rating.
Wanted to replace the jeans that matched up with my 3.0 jacket. As always SBS came up with the best availability and price. They also arrived before expected...just as well as they were fully tested in the very wet weather over Christmas!!
Can always depend on SBS...and they will continue to be my first "port of call" for my biking needs. Thank you SBS.
they are waterproof warm and keep your back warm
Once I put on my new jeans, I knew they were going to work, once on the bike, stopping after 60 miles, they were comfortable so let's keep positive, I like my new jeans
10/10!
Having tried three different sizes I settled for XL regular .I normally have short but found on the bike near top of my boots .Size chart on the Oxford site o accurate, best if you can to try in store.I can't fault the excellent delivery by service 5 star. Not used in the rain yet hopefully will be fine.
Haven't made much use of them yet. Bought to replace a pair of trousers that leak in rain but haven't used the Oxford trousers in rain yet. Comfortable to wear. The wide trouser legs around the ankles are a bit disconcerting - not sure why they need to be that wide. Have bought some short elastic straps to reduce the leg width.
Bought ahead of a long weekend in Wales. Wales threw every bit of weather you could imagine at them.
Kept me bone dry throughout whether it was chucking it down or baking hot. Hip pockets kept my phone dry and they fitted perfectly over my boots.
Choice of length was great as at 5'8" knee pads don't always fit and things get a bit baggy.
Again excellent service from Sportsbikeshop. The trousers are good value and very good quality. Very pleased with them. Fit well and have plenty of pockets and easily adjustable.
Delivery was very quick and quality is very good. Nice and comfortable.
I already have these pants in desert/black but also wanted just black. Comfy, breathable and great sized waterproof cargo pockets. Bib and brace style or unzip braces for just trousers. Good looking touring/commuting pants and they feel like they can offer good protection should you be unlucky and have a spill. Great price as usual from SBS.
Comfortable, good fit, waterproof, but! Braces slide off shoulders owing to being too wide, should really have a cross section fitting. And braces elastic shreds near to attachment at back. on my second pair, but after 3 rides already shredding. No issues with sportsbikeshop, replace amazingly quick, no quibbles but Oxford using cheap elastic straps. Otherwise this would be full marks
These bike trousers are the best I've ever had comfy and flexible also the quality is on point
Very good quality and very comfortable. Great value and brilliant service from Sportsbikeshop.
All good does the job
