Oxford Montreal 3.0 Textile Jeans - Black
Customer Product Reviews
Only gave 4 stars as when they arrived one of the press studs was defective, the copper captive ring was missing, also although there is a zip to mare getting the boots on/off easier the flare is too big & even with the zips & velcro fastened there is a bit of a breeze up the trouser leg, gr8 in summer but not helpful when its only 3c. Apart from that they compliment the jacket very well, are very comfortable when on the bike, with grippy panels to stop you sliding around in the seat. Good adjustment with the added belt & braces for after those weekend breakfasts. Not ridden in the rain yet so will reserve judgement on waterproofing if as good as the jacket then it should not be an issue. Great value for the price paid.
These were not my first choice trousers, however I am grateful that the first pair I ordered did not fit as these are superior in every way. The bristles are excellent braces are excellent and keep the trousers up despite their necessary weight owing to the protection and insulation. The trousers are a good fit and enable free motion to be able to stretch your leg over the motorcycle easily. They are lovely and warm and I am looking forward to riding over the winter in them. I bought them with the matching Montréal jacket which also zips in on the back preventing the jacket riding up. Overall I am extremely pleased with both the jacket and these trousers.
Quick on and Off
Love the bib and brace - most of these type of trousers are far too heavy not to have them and I've never messed about zipping jackets and trousers together. Great riding position. Roomy seat but not too baggy. Great price for this quality. Need longer adjusters on the lower leg as others have mentioned but they are not too Austin Powers when you actually look at them in the riding position. Strong belt. Articulated knees with non slip inners. Strong hanging loops for drying out. Some great design points compared to another modern poseur pair I own which were double the price but half as good. I bought the Montreal 3 jacket from SBS and love it so had to have the kecks. Delivery was excellent as usual.
Bought these trousers as all my friends seem to have them nowadays. Also used it for our trip to Scotland. What a great set of trousers. I don't know why i didn't invest in textiles sooner. The trousers kept me warm and dry in the rain (which it did for 2 days) so they've had a good test. I would thoroughly recommend these trousers. You won't be disappointed
Great product, comfy, and feels like good quality material, which I expect from Oxford. Only issue which I could pick up on is width at bottom of the legs. It's nothing really that a short strip of velcro wont sort, but if it was added at manufacture it would be a lot better.
Oxford Montreal 3.0 textiles great all rounder
Great all round riding trouser The good thing about the Oxford Montreal 3.0 is that they are available in short leg They are well put together and a. Great weight One slight down side is the bottom of the legs are a bit baggy with limited adjustment available to alter them Other wise great value for money
Well made but the rear braces panel zip required an anchor stitch to stop it unzipping whilst riding. Good fit but the Lower half of the legs from the knee down are far too wide. The Velcro tab needs to be longer for more adjustment. A second Velcro tab at mid-calf would also be welcome.
Fantastic bit of kit, very comfortable with one drawback. The multiple layers suit all but the hottest of days even then the ample air vents will keep you from over heating. My only complaint which has been the reason for the single star loss is the far too big legs from the knee down. It really is baggy, I cannot work out why but the fit is great until you get to just below the knee. The Velcro strap does pull it in a little bit, man it's like Buzz Light Year!
I bought these to use when my armoured jeans aren't enough. I normally get away with 36" waist but after reading reviews I went for a 38" with these and they are perfect round the waist. From the waist to the knee they are in proportion and fit well. Below the knee they are far too wide, even over the top of boots. I haven't had them long enough to comment on their durability and it hasn't rained yet so don't know about waterproof qualities. They certainly kept me warm this afternoon in close to zero temperatures. The quality of construction etc and the 'feel' of the product gives me confidence that they will be up to the job.
