Oxford Level 2 Back Protector Insert

Weise scout has L1 back armour, this protector is the same physical size but level 2. It is of course firmer so needs to be well warmed to get it in. Maybe not as much airflow as I would have liked for a hot weather jacket protector, but since it is not sold for that I am happy.

Got this for my mondial street jacket, would be nice if the pocket and protector went lower down the back but it's solid

Although Oxfords level 2 back protector insert resembles a steam rolled SpongeBob, it fits snuggly into Oxford's Hinterland Jacket and becomes more flexible and comfortable as it warms up to body temperature.

The Velcro strip helps to hold it in position, and it is easy to install in the pocket of the jacket lining.

The downsides for me are that it is not adjustable in the Hinterland jacket and does not cover the lower portion of the back enough.

While Oxfords back protector is not outrageously expensive and is good value for the money, back protection really should be included with all jackets, regardless of make.

This is a perfectly good product which fits easily into the Oxford continental advanced jacket we bought for my step-son.
Five star service from Sportsbikeshop and the only reason I'm only giving the product four stars is that I believe that a back protector should be included with the jacket, not an optional extra at further cost on top of the jacket.

Good protector and comfortable. Oxford have come a long way in last few years. Wanted this for my wife's jacket but were out of stock at the time. Lady in the MK shop told me if I could wait til it came back in I could order it now and get the sale price. Got an email when it came back in , job done.
Only saved a few quid on this occasion but it's the service in this branch that keeps them top on my list when buying kit.

I was struggling to find a reasonably priced comfortable back protector for a denim jacket I have that come without one. I bought this one because I struggled to get The right one in the UK a protector that fit. so I bought this one as a level two and it comes with velcro adhesive. Makes it perfect. It's not as comfortable as d30 level 2 but it's almost half the price.
Highly recommend.
