As good off the bike as on...
Well made, great looking jacket. Comfortable on and off the bike, removable liner means I'll wear it long after the autumn starts. Only gripe I had was the size guide, drop 2 sizes on your order as I found Large = 46 inch chest, but service was great, dealt with, friendly and professionally (and a great little 'born to ride / forced to drive' sticker ;-))Read more
Pharoe Rally 4 Pants, bought with the jacket
These pants are BRILLIANT. As someone who enjoys mixed adventure riding these really work well. The quality of the materials and stitching is high end. Like most gear I buy I adapt it to my needs. Out with the knee armour as the only armour I know that stays in place in an off for me is my motocross leg braces. The issued ones with the garment are ok, but when your down you just know they will move! Its the same for them all however much you pay people - don't kid yourself! The leather patches are a nice touch and the width of the bottom is excellent allowing the pants to easily go over my Sidi MC boots. The layer system is just like any other - a faff! Buy these as an quality outer shell with great pockets and top quality fabrics and construction. I am quite long in the leg and a regular fit is spot on, I also use braces. RECOMMENDED.Read more
New adventure gear from a new company
Firstly let me state I am a tuff judge of anything that is protective gear. SO: The good news is; 1. The jacket looks just as good as the photos. 2. The fit is about right. I am middle aged athletic build with a 43 inch chest and long arms. An extra large fits very well. If I were a true 44 chest I might go up a size for more room, your call? 3. The quality of construction is as good as any upper middle range jacket. The stitching is very good and double in most areas. 4. Comfort is very good especially the freedom in the arms and torso which aid off road riding. Areas where I had to adapt the jacket are : 1. Although the armour sits perfectly for me it's just too hard on my bony elbows, so I had to add a layer of comfort foam to fix this, not a big job and it's now very comfy. I bought the advertised / linked most expensive L2 back protection which is easy to fit, but again quite hard and did the same, now brilliantly comfortable. 2. Wish it had a hold back for the neck , I will make one. 3. The end of the wrists is not finished in a soft cuff, not a real problem, but for the money I expected that. SUMMARY : If you want an technical adventure jacket that is less common that is good quality, comfortable, with very good protection, which clearly has been designed to take abuse, this jacket will not disappoint. I bought the paired trousers with it and as a combo it's really effective. The leather patches are a really nice touch, the vents are effective and the look is not trying to hard.
