Barkbusters

Original fitment plastic guards, for my barkbusters frames, bought, delivered, fitted, simples
They look like new again.

The handguards come with a variety of fitting bits and bobs, and if you already have Barkbusters anyway you can fit them over their metal bars (after removing the plastic shells), but they are naturally stiff, so they don't flop about in the wind and you don't need the summer Barkbuster metal frames to prop them up.
I like the fact that they are relatively easy to fit (to my Himmy 450), just make sure you use the right spacers from the packet for your bike. They keep the wind off and my hands warmer than with just some plastic shells.
The way they are attached to the handlebars they also do not obstruct the visibility of, and access to the switches and buttons you may want to use (unlike other 'handlebar muffs'). And there is enough space for using winter gloves.
You may still want to use heated grips, but so far I have done without switching those on. All in all a good product for a good price and fit.

After 6 years on my cb500x with flimsy Givi hand guards, I decide to purchase Barkbusters. Wish I had done this from the get go. Well engineered and so solid. The only hand guards worth your money.

You can’t go wrong with Barkbusters

The handguards fit easily, and cover most of the hand, but handlebar controls can still be seen. Properly adjusted, the stiff material keeps the guards off your fingers at motorway speeds. They work well in rain, but it hasn’t been cold enough to give them a good sub zero test. Or has it and they’ve just worked well.
