Advice & Guides If it feels like armour in your bike kit then the law demands it is actually proper, protective armour. Here's how to tell how effective your impact protection is...

Honestly, clothing is so subjective on feel based on shape and size, it's hard to leave a review based on that part, but as a feminine figured guy, these have fit wonderfully.
They look and feel like normal trousers, so much so, that many people don't even realise I am wearing bike gear until I grab my jacket.
The fabric is soft enough to be nice to touch but rough enough you can wipe dirt off your hands with them.
The pockets on the front are a very good size, rare something I want to put in there doesn't fit, and they key pocket is very useful, though the pockets on the back are a bit small but functional.
The D3O pads are such a step up from the generic pads I had in my prior trousers and you can't even tell they are there, I wear these as my day-to-day trousers, sometimes wearing them for 24+ hours without them getting uncomfortable or sweaty unlike some other bike trousers I own.
The only issue I had, which is very subjective, is the knee pads were a little low for my liking, so I just put a seem about a half a CM above where they would be otherwise to lift them up a bit and that fixed the issue completely.
I’ve been searching for the elusive women’s fit, black, straight legged, fully armoured jeans for ages. Ordered online about 7:8 different pairs to try on all of which didn’t fit either on the waist, thighs, calf’s of didn’t go over my Daytonas. Eventually had an out ride to SBS at Leeds. Staff were great and I loved that they sold their stock by size rather than brand. Tried on 4 pairs of different branded jeans and these Rich’s ladies Jeans fit perfectly. I’m a size 15/16 in jeans and they fit true to size. Waist and legs fit perfectly. They have a slight stretch to them and the Ghost D30 armour in hips and knees feels so comfortable I forgot they were there when riding. The waist is high so doesn’t “creep” down and pockets are deep enough to be useful (unlike some ladies jeans I’ve tried). Although I bought these more for summer wear, I tried them out on a late afternoon/evening ride in 4° temperature and they were warm enough for the 30 minutes/short journey I made.
Overall a great pair of jeans. I’d definitely recommend them. I’ll buy them in blue next.
Having had a pair of lined bike jeans for a while, I was looking for something more suitable in the warm weather we ve been having. I tried some mesh trousers and some cargo pants, but these Single Layer jeans are perfect; they fit my curvy size 10 very well, the armour at the knees and hips stays in place due to the fit, and they look great.
Really impressed with these jeans, the armour is really comfortable, out of all the jeans I tried on these fitted the best, they are true to size which isn't something you find often in women's gear
First pair of jeans I have ever had specifically to wear when going out on hubby's motorbike. They are so comfortable and fit really well. When visited my daughter wearing them she wouldn't believe that they were Kevlar jeans. Well worth the money.
This was the 3rd pair of the same jeans, trying to get a pair that fitted. These were not true to size so have had to return them. The fit just wasn't good in general. Too baggy in thigh and bum and way too long. Quality of the actual Jean is really good. Cannot fault Sportsbikeshop, excellent service as always
I've ordered so many pairs of riding jeans from cheap to expensive. The won the fabric feels good quality and looks good. Off the bike even with armour they look like a pair of slim fitting jeans.
