This is my first Shark helmet and I have to say I'm very impressed. Lightweight, very well put together and looks the absolute nuts IMO.

Feels like a much more expensive helmet to be honest and the fact it comes with a free dark visor is amazing. The padding is soft and comfortable and it's extremely stable at speed. Can't comment on wind noise as I use Alpine plugs everywhere. This has been my go to lid now since buying.

Overall, this helmet is pretty good. Love the design (for a modular helmet) and quite like the way it looks. It is not too heavy and is a full 180-degree flip-over. This is the reason I purchased it. I didn't really want a modular, but for the touring bike when in such hot weather, it seemed to make sense to buy one. I think the lid is pretty good value and I happened to buy this when it had a big discount on it.
The biggest downside is the awful padding that Shark uses on the top padding. It is so this and rough. It marks my forehead quite a lot and I can only wear it for around 3 hours before having to take it off for a break! The other poor part of the design is the built-in sun visor. The operation of it is excellent. It also has a nice soft blue tint; however, the visor does not drop low enough and when looking down at your dials/instrument panel, you seem to be looking right on the edge of it, meaning you need to try and look below it or tilt your head a bit more to look through it. It is not the end of the world, but it is annoying.
The visor itself can be cracked slightly open for ventilation, or fully open; though, I did find that it stayed in place wherever I had it. It is easy to operate from a centre tab. I would say that the air vents are not the best. With the chin vent open, I could barely feel a breeze and the top one seemed to make no difference as to whether it was open or closed. Luckily, being modular, you could get plenty of air anyway.
The chin guard is also a really nice, easy-to-use flip-over, giving a better balanced feel when open compared to other modular lids where they just sit on the top. I find these really unbalanced and heavy. There is a simple safety catch at the bottom of the chin guard that you push before squeezing the other tab above that pops out and you just flip it.
Overall, the helmet is fine, but it isn't a patch on the Shoei. The price difference is obvious that this would be the case, but I just didn't like the balance of the Shoei Neotec. If Shoei bring out a full flip, I'll be buying one.

I understand that a motorcycle helmet fit is different for every person, but my review is for what suits me and the quality of this product. I find the quality of the liner, pinlock and the overall finish of the Shark Sparton RS to be of high quality, if one takes into account the price of the helmet. Sportsbikeshop as always generally have the best price available, and if for any reason you can find it cheaper, then Sportsbikeshop are always willing to meet that price. Great helmet at a good price.

Simple buttons. Set up with the app was easy.

Long battery life .

Disappointing that the speakers are larger than the shark Evoline hole indents, so they can still be felt against my head and painful after a few hours.

Or used it as a bike to bike or their mesh app yet.
