I already have an RST one which cost £16 and is a more premium and thicker item. However, my helmet is a little on the tight side, and for rides over an hour long, the thickness of the RST gives me a slight headache. This Held one is much thinner and alieviates the problem whilst still keeping me warm, and is my choice for longer rides.

Good value Balaclava thin cotton good for typical temperatures of +5 to +20 degree temps but outside of these temps would go thing for + and thicker for - temps! UK purchase so good for our climate!

In fact I was looking for a balaclava like the one on the SD pics as my helmet is quite tight and I start to feel the seams against my forehead after a while. This one is same as any other balaclava. Seems all around and through the middle.

Needs to be worn with a snood to be effective...

A great bit of kit. It keeps your head warm. However the material that is great at keeping your head warm is rubbish at keeping the wind out at your neck (hence 4 not 5 stars). Problem solved with a snood or scarf. Now a must wear part of my kit on most journeys.

As previous reviews state this is a thin balaclava. I have purchased another to allow one to be washed and the other warn. As I ride nearly every day I wear this to stop my helemt needing regular deep cleans from sweaty head.

If its a bit cold a use a Buff around the neck for the extra warmth.
Ideal for my needs and for the price you can't go wrong. I'll be gewtting another I'm sure!!
