Oxford Deluxe Balaclava - Merino

Well worth the extra pennies.

As expected really, comfortable and warm enough to take the chill off, I combined it with my neck warmer and it was fine for an autumn ride. Merino is not itchy and breathes enough so you don't get too hot. Would reccomend

This is a simple but effective addition to your bike kit.

Fits nice and snug and, being silk, is not at all itchy or sweaty.

Keeps you warm and helps stop fogging.

Great fit and nice and thin so doesn’t feel bulky.

In winter it keeps my face and neck warm, in summer it lets a breeze through and my face doesnt sweat ! Its super silky so you dont feel it and it stretches to fit your face shape perfectly and comfortably, which means it doesnt move when I put my helmet on. It keeps my hair out my face and doesnt go frizzy when I take my helmet and balaclava off. This is the second one I've bought and ill buy this exact one again when I need to, super easy to wash with black clothes and doesnt smell because of how breathable it is, it doesnt make me feel claustrophobic because whilst its snug to my face it doesnt press hard over my nose or lips !

sadly with my helmet the seam around the opening digs into my temple.

Good quality merino wool and keeps you nice and warm in the winter months. I use it in combination with the RST water and windproof neck tube which stops cold air and water completely.

Not itchy at all feels very nice and doesn't make hair frizzy. Nice fit for me

Got this to keep my neck warm during winter rides. Does the job. It's well made and very snug.

The opening for the eyes could have been bigger but I'm nitpicking.

As others have said it is a tight fit but still comfortable. The "hole" for your face is only for your eyes so may lead to glasses fogging.( I take an L in HJC.)

The balaclava is a very tight fit and I am only size medium in crash helmet sizes. I hope it will stretch in time. It's not as windproof as I had hoped for either. Finally, the washing instructions say hand wash only, which is an unwelcome maintenance overhead.
